Ok I had busybox 1.18.4 installed went back to 1.18.2 like zep recommends still not working gets about half way through the script and locks up and reboots.

After Zep updated his scripts I have had no issues with either one. The 3G script runs as expected using the run as root option (do not check run on boot). You need to create the init.d folder in /system/etc/ place the 98 kick ass kernel script and run in this directory using run as root and run on boot.

The updated scripts are on the XDA forum using the original link from Zepplinrox. You will now get confirmation when running the script that it has finished and you need to reboot.

When Running The 98kickasskernel It Would Get I Think Half Way Thru Running The Script Lock Up And Start A Constant Bootloop After Getting The Lock Screen. I Will Try Again But I'm Not The Only One Experiencing This Issue.

Mikey, Both my installs were successful. But after checking the file names I found that mine do not say Update 2 !!!

Hoping these 2 tidbits of Info will have an Earthquake like affect on the Android Community!!! Just peed in my pants !!!

Yup When I First Loaded Them They Both Worked Great. Now Only The 3G Turbo Updated2 Works. I'm Not Sure What The Kernel Script Was Doing But I Don't Have It Anymore. Wait For The Next Update Hope It Gets Resolved.

Yes sir I am 100% sure that I am using the new update2 scripts. Maybe I just got lucky, however I am on rooted stock rom so maybe it has something to do with a rom you guys are on. I am waiting on P3DROID and ThatDudeButch to push something out before I start flashing rom's.

Edit: Found the answer I was looking for. Tested on an Evo Shift and I am very impressed. It more than doubled my speed.

No Problem, Oh And When Running The Kickass Kernel Script Inside The init.d Folder And You Get An Error Like This

Error Code 2 (Blue)

/system/etc/init.d/98kickasskernel: 45: Syntax error: word unexpected

That's Okay Because The Kernel Tweak Still Gets Applied.

I just ran both, the 3g one worked just as you said however the kickass didn't return any message or error at all. I made the folder on the root of the sd card from my PC, would that have made any difference?

You're Not Supposed To Put The Folder On The SD Card, And Those Scripts Have Been Updated Alot Since This Original Post. Head Over To Xda And You'll See.
