GINGERBOLT SENSE 3.0 STRIPPED

Ok, so here I am again posting another Stripped ROM based off BAMF. Last time people called my ROM "unauthorized." Well that's bad publicity, so I called on a fellow Charlottenian, ThatDudeButch, and got permission. This is Das Bamf's Sense 3.0 port stripped naked of a lot of sense stuff. For me these stripped ROM's have the perfect balance of sense and aosp (IMO).

This one is based in part off the GingerStripped released by Bamf and the other part off my Stripped one i posted not long ago for 2.1 sense.

It contains Imoseyon's most up-to-date GB Sense kernel: v3.3.5

The STRIPPED team consists of:
Imoseyon (Twitter) - GM of Kernel Operation and Co-Developer
Marczeffren HERE to see their donate stuff and Sense 3.0 info.

For those that think it matters, Quadrant has this w/ a score of 1507 with 1.2Ghz (which i always use.) Battery life is good.

I also kept the brand-spankin' new Das Bamf Toolkit and this was tested on the "MR2.5" Gingerbread Radio for the Thunderbolt.

• Fixed Wifi problems I think. If you still have problems, reflash your Imoseyon kernel of choice.

• Updated Car Dock to Sense 3.0's Car Panel, a much nicer UI

Known Bugs For Beta 9:
At firsts things can lag up but will fix over a small amt of time. (quick fix is to lock your phone and unlock your phone.. temp fix)

Have you gotten an AOSP calendar working on any of the BAMF GB roms? I hate how the sense calendar doesn't show the appointment name in weekly view

No but I like sense 3.0's Calender. Try it. I can try to get aosp working tonight

nah man i dont mind. i can personalize it however as long as i dont have to do skyraider kind of stuff lol.

Andrew, do you know of any themes that are compatible with this? I dislike the look of stock, Sense especially. Thanks for the rom regardless man. I appreciate it.

ADW can work but takes some work. any theme will work if you can activate it without an option in settings. and no problem

I'm liking this so far. Is this based off the RC1? I noticed that the camera still had some issues, and when I went and pulled the HTCCamera.apk from the RC2 .zip and loaded it into my system/app for this Rom I had a perfectly functioning camera again.

Actually it could be I just have a weird combination of the roms, I installed RC2, then flashed this over it without a wipe.

So far I think I will really love this ROM but I have one problem. Whenever I try to turn on Wifi, it comes back with error. I tried this under quick settings and also by going to the regular settings place and it always says error. I rebooted the phone twice and it says the same thing. Any suggestions on getting this working? Everything else works great!

I notice in your screenshots the lockscreen doesn't have the shortcut icons. Mine does, that may be because of flashing this over the full thing without a wipe, but it's kinda neat because I found that I could make a shortcut via ADW into one of the parts of the Rosie Utility and I can edit the shortcuts on the lockscreen. The only downside is that I'm probably running more of the framework. Do you happen to know what you get rid of to remove the shortcut icons?

So ok first answer goes to jlambeth1: Yes, Wifi is a newly found bug that I'm working on. I will TRY TRY TRY to have it fixed by tonight's release, but no promises. Sorry for the Bug.

Second answer goes to DuoWing: yes, the reason you have the lockscreen icons is because you flashed without wiping and you retained some framework and Rosie. Email me your exact steps and how to change them and I may add a seperate version with that working. It's just technically not as 'stripped' as it should be. As to what i did to remove the shortcut icons, thats just using a modified .apk for the lockscreen which removes them.

Thanks Andrew for the quick reply. I love this ROM so far and might would even keep it if Wifi never worked, it is damn fast for me! Thanks and I'll keep playing with this today and await a potential fix for the Wifi.

WIFI FIX: Reinstall imoseyon's kernel. You (and I) are missing a driver. After that your good to go

Thanks, that did it for me. If you come up with a lockscreen option that has the shortcuts, I would like to see that as well.

I just tested out my camera and camcorder. Camera is fine but the camcorder won't record. I moved the quality up to 720p and when I press record it acts like it is going to and then the phone reboots. Any suggestions?

Cool, downloading now. I usually wipe before I install any ROM but sure would like to avoid it this time. Do you think I can get away with wiping if I install the new beta over beta 5?
