As to prevent a lot of empty forums, we have created sections only for current android devices on the market. Should demand increase, we will add more device sections.

If your device does not have a section, please use this section to post your questions.
Non device specific questions/comments still go in General Android

If you are a developer and need to release your stuff for a device we don't have a section for, PM me and i will add a section for your device ASAP

Hi '

I would like to propose creating additional section for acer a511 .
There are a bunch of owners of this device which try to publicate the posts
In section for a510. Small diff btw these two devices but very important.
As for the moment there is no support for 3g but I hope it will be solved soon.
This way we could post msgs in decent area not like now .
I hope to be understood.

XGODY X11

This is my very first post on these forums. I do hope I am posting on the correct thread.

I have a new XGODY X11 android phone. It uses Android lollipop 5.1 operating system.

It has a couple of operational shortcomings (bugs?) that I would like to work around or avoid.

Question:

Is there custom firmware (or ROM) available that I can reliably flash for this phone?

I understand I must first obtain root access, is that correct?

Edit:

I have found several options for a ROM on "Needrom". But don't know how to root the phone first.

Can someone please advise?

Edit #2:

I found I could activate developer options by clicking on the button 7 times. This is "root access" by another name. Correct or not?
