FAQs

What is the difference between ACMEInstaller, ACMEInstallerT, ACMEInstallerE and ACMEInstallerM?

ACMEInstaller is the classic installer you've always used. The difference for ACMEInstaller4 and 5 is the partition of cm-system. On version 4 is 500MB and on version 5 is 600MB.

ACMEInstallerT is also the classic installer with the difference of the space but this installer can flashing only the TWRP Recovery! You can't use CWM with this installer but TWRP.

ACMEInstallerE is also the classic installer with the difference of the space but this installer can flashing only the Evervolv ROM! You can't use Cyanogenmod ROM with this installer.

ACMEInstallerET is also the classic installer with the difference of the space but this installer can flashing only the Evervolv ROM and TWRP Recovery! You can't use Cyanogenmod ROM and CWM recovery with this installer.

ACMEInstallerM is also the classic installer with the difference of the space but this installer can flashing the CyanogenMod ROM of Milaq! (Compatible with Invisiblek ROM)

So... If i want install CyanogenMOD and TWRP which ACMEInstaller i need to use?

You need to use ACMEInstallerT. For make more simple this is the instruction:

ACMEInstaller = create cminstall folder and puting inside CyanogenMod ROM, CWM Recovery, gapps and Moboot.

ACMEInstallerT = create cminstall folder and puting inside CyanogenMOD ROM, TWRP Recovery, gapps and Moboot.

ACMEInstallerE = create cminstall folder and puting inside Evervolv ROM, CWM recovery, gapps and Moboot.

ACMEInstallerET = create cminstall folder and puting inside Evervolv ROM, TWRP recovery, gapps and Moboot.

ACMEInstallerM = create cminstall folder and puting inside CM rom of Milaq, CWM of Milaq, gapps, Moboot and APE data

See here for better instruction http://rootzwiki.com/topic/107690-acmeinstaller4-testing-and-other-things/page-5#entry1537434

ACMEInstallerM (2 configuration) = create cminstall folder and puting inside CM rom of Invisiblek, CWM Recovery, gapps and Moboot.

Based on your configuration uses the ACMEInstaller right for you.

So... the process is still the same?

Yes. Create cminstall and puting the right ROM or Recovery you want install. Copy the ACMEInstaller right for you in folder where is novacom (This is based on your system) And

novacom.exe boot mem:// < the acmeinstaller you choose

Done.

If u still have problems, just wait the tutorial from RolandDeschain79.

What is the difference between twrp-2.6.3.0-tenderloin.zip and update-twrp-2.6.3.0-full-tenderloin.zip ?

The first is a simple installation package that can flashed with CWM recovery.

The second is a full installation package that need to be used with ACMEInstallerT or ACMEInstallerET.

Don't use the second with CWM or you got bad things! The second package delete every recovery you have already installed and set the default recovery with TWRP.

This apply also for update-CWM6_tenderloin-20131019.zip and update-CWM6_tenderloin-full-20131019.zip

If you want simple update CWM use the first package with TWRP.

And ACMEUninstaller2?

Everything here is the same. The difference is ACMEUninstaller2 can deleted also TWRP and Evervolv uImage.

This is my first things in Android World.. I hope i can learn soon, so in future i can help also in contributing for the ROM(s).

Thanks

N.B.

All the thanks for the ACMEInstaller to Green! I have only made a simple modify.

The .zip(s) is based on jcsullins clockworkmod zip! So thanks him to put me in the good road

I have made also two another things..

2) An update for ClockworkMOD (6.0.2.8) builded with CM10.. You can download here http://www.mediafire.com/?977hzd8lmlz5o5l and flash in TWRP

Don't do Wipe after installing!

ClockworkMOD is only an update package! Use the package provide jcsullins for the first time install.

You know.. You can always install manually if you prefer.

Fantaistic too see an ACMEInstaller4, thank you iMarck90! I will test out these new zips, we really needed a flashable version of TWRP and a CWM update is great to have.

What would you say to increasing the ACME4 System partition size to 600MB, for future proofing  Dorregaray has a good point.

This is really great I can make a new how to install Android video with all these great new packages and ACME4. Just need to test them out and talk to Mpgrimm2 about updating the packages. We could even have a CWM and a TWRP package now, its so good to have new zips to flash for my HP TP :fox: Kitkat here we come!!

Are the recoveries for datamedia builds or sdcard builds?

This thread should moved or at least duplicated in the HP TouchPad forum. I think you will get more exposure and traffic if it's moved or duplicated in that forum. Nice job creating ACME4.

Curiosity question, where are you from?

Thanks for the heads up Roland and kudos to iMark for putting it together. I agree this needs testing and some visibility for the seasoned folks who are comfortable with the process before telling all the first timers to give it a go. Maybe iMark can throw a poll at the top to track how many people have successfully used Acme4, the TWRP for Acme4 and the CWM update pack. When I get a chance to download (at home), I can host some trial cminstall packages for Roland with whatever 4 files he wants in this thread for both he and iMark. I will check my PM's.

(Still trying to get a successful upload to AFH for alternative/extra hosting on top of Dev-Host).

Honey Do list:

- build/assemble a 7 foot "buffet" table for storing griddle/crock-pots etc, by Thanksgiving.. uh maybe Christmas.

Hey guys, please if you have already downloaded the ACMEInstaller4 and have used, do a uninstall with ACMEInstaller and using again with the new ACMEInstaller4.
I have noticed only now, that i have freed more space than needed.. So this involve a large losing of free space for SDCard.

You can download the new ACMEInstaller 4 here http://www.mediafire.com/?a1jux8udd9l6tkl

And i have made also an ACMEInstaller5 with 600MB of space. You can download here http://www.mediafire.com/?31amvhwt64cky83

The first post is updated with the new version.

Sorry if i have notice only now

Thanks again iMarck90 for helping to keep our tablet stay current :winkP: I will test it all out tonight and post back with results. The poll is a great idea for getting feedback. Once I test it all, I'll make a video about it and ask other users to test it out too

@iMarck90, wondering if your zips that install CWM or TWRP remove the other recovery when flashed? It was a problem in the past that there was not enough space in the /boot partition to accommodate both programs at the same time. TeamWin's Open Recovery Script solved the issue by removing CWM when TWRP was installed. There is also the issue that when ACMEUninstaller is used, TWRP is not removed from the /boot partition, so when a user tries to install Android along with CWM, the CWM install fails because there is not enough room in /boot.

The TWRP and CWM zip remove the current version and install the version from the package but the issue with ACMEUninstaller is still there, because he isn't removed the TWRP Image like also if you try other ROM (example Evervolv). Do you need to remove manually.

No issue with a new installation, because the CWM package from jcsullins remove the TWRP image, i have tried for testing the new ACMEInstaller nine times and everything is always working ;)

iMarck90... Can u'r new TWRP .zip be installed directly thru ACMEInstaller 4/3 like in the past... Or can the .zip only be installed thru another recovery...

Will just adding the "update-" to the name of the .zip be enough ???
Hey Guys,

I'm actually testing all of this right now :fox: I have both CWM and TWRP installed and both fully function. I was going to point this out but NT beat me to it. So far no problems running both but I will need to test making backups with both installed. I flashed the Rom and gapps with both so that works.

I have just done my first install with ACME5 and the new update-CWM6_tenderloin-20131019. Everything appears to be working fine. My partition size is @ 261/591MB, time to install my new Simpsons tree house of horrors bootamination(42.18MB). I can make them huge now since I have such a massive system partition :emoji_u1f604:

Thank you so much iMarck90 you've really helped to move things along with our aging but incredible tablets  I will do somemore installs and test out using TWRP with the new ACME5. I also modified the old batch files for ACME5, i'm too lazy to type it over and over during testing Download: Happy flashing
