Updated despite the fact that I don't use the Weather option.
It's always been wonky for me.
Doesn't seem to update.
Anyway.
Awesome build, as usual. Thanks team AOKP!
I'll let ya'll know if I run into any problems.

Still seeing the FC when I edit a photo's "Face Tan" or "Face Glow."
Not like I'll ever use it...but it's a nice little feature to show off on my still-new Nexus.
This rom is pretty much perfect the addition of the weather stats is brilliant. This rom keeps spitting out very nice features. Although I now have weather on my lock screen, status bar, and on my home screen via beautiful Widgets doesn't hurt to k ow the weather though. Is there a request page I'd love to see the lockscreen clock enlarged and centered similar to cnas option. Thanks again!

Change template to "Feature Request."
This is actually not happening for me, but I do a full wipe between every build because I am super OCD apparently
If it's super important to you might give that a shot - unless you have already. :)

Really?
This is the only really obvious bug I've noticed since build 23.
I...also haven't wiped since 23.
But no, it doesn't bug me that much.
I'll do a full wipe on the next build.
Used to be the OCD type as well...
But restoring and merging my facebook/regular contacts is sooooo tedious.
And I have work in the AM.

Thanks though!

tomorrow cant come soon enough, replaced my nexus on Friday and have to wait for new one to come in on Monday. Using old Droid X in the meantime lol.

I really need to stop looking at these forums until tomorrow there not helping haha
Old DX user here.
MIUI4DX is fantastic.
Use Wizards latest defy 2 base.

On Topic:
This build is still running great for me...despite the dirty install.
I did notice the music player is squashed on the default lockscreen...doesn't really bother me, though.
I'm also getting great battery life (as I always have...but here are some pics.)

Take note:
Yes...my phone was awake.
LeanKernel (2.2 Stable) is the deep-sleep champion.
And my phone is ALWAYS sleeping when I'm not using it.
However, I was listening to my headphones for a solid 4.5 hours today at work (naughty me).
This obviously kept my phone awake.
This...was streaming music as well. And I recently deleted GMusic's cache, so it was all freshly streamed.
Deep in the confines of the Radiology Department...shotty service...and the Nex handled it without a hiccup. (Take that, naysayers of good service.)
I'm not in a 4G area, so this was all 3G streaming.

I've noticed my battery life has gone through the roof since I removed the stock battery and switched to dilithium crystals.
Personally...I use Unicorn Heart-String and Hufflepuff Jizz.

Hey! Don't hate on magic stickers. Those were sticking stuffers from me to my 'rents years back.
I am sure i will get. Blasted but i downloaded the new touch recovery. And it is a img file. How do i install that?

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Boot into fastboot...
Put your .img file wherever your adb is set up.
Use ADB and type:
fastboot flash recovery FILENAMEHERE.img
Fantastically smooth.
Full wipe.
No bugs thus far.
Keep ya updated though...
And I get paid tonight at 4:50 into my account.
Expect a donation.
You guys rock!
AOKP team,

YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I rooted my phone Gnex the very first day and loaded AOKP shortly after that. I have never flashed another ROM. AOKP has EVERYTHING I need and for that.......

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK.
I planned on going flash happy today...
After making a nandroid...obviously.
But I can't bring myself to do it =]]

AOKP since day one.

I'll probably end up dicking around this weekend...
But I can't see myself straying afar for long.
Whats this do and where can i find a link?
Well...
The tweaks are what Axiom's running that some users swear by...as it's smooth.
I haven't tried it...so I can't say.
Franco's kernel is easy to find.
The init.d scripts will have to be torn from the axiom.zip in the axiom rom thread.
If you're not following this...sorry but I have to head to work.
I have never heard of this, nor experienced this. Is this something you heard without trying yourself?
Same here.
I searched a bit and can't find a relevant post...
But could everyone do me a favor?
(Particularly on LeanKernel 2.3.0 or 2.4.0...
I thought 2.4.0 was causing my clock to stay at 700mhz instead of deep sleeping.
Went back to 2.3.0 and saw the same thing...
Remembered I recently turned on "weather" on the pulldown to refresh "off" (notice when you do this it displays "0" when you exit the menu.
My plan was to manually refresh...
But it appears that this instead is continually refreshing.
I toggled it on after a fresh reboot and letting the phone sit for 5 minutes to settle.
700mhz straight. No deep sleep.
Toggled it off and rebooted again...let sit for 5 minutes to settle...
And deep-sleep was back to normal.

Can anyone confirm?
And Roman & Team...I'm a major "manual refresh" kinda' guy. I literally refresh everything that doesn't push manually.
If this is confirmed...could it be fixed ASAP?
Thanks for testing, guys and gals!

Quoting for the sake of at least one response

There has been a lot of movement in the weather refresh area since B27. Will be kind of hard to juxtapose what you are experiencing along with where we are at now.
I know that some of the changes revolve around the background service, so possibly we've fixed your particular issue. Let's revisit this again after M4 get's released and see if we need to re-look at this.
Thanks Sir.

Quoted because I'm still experiencing this in M4...and Zaphod said to bring it up if I still had the issue.
I haven't waited long enough to see if the weather is changing or not.
But when set to "Off" it simply won't sleep.

I'll get you more information here in a minute.
Actually performing a clean install currently.

Edit:
Haven't actually monitored weather data, I guess I should have said.
I've waited for ~30 minutes with enabled...no sleep.
~30 without (after a reboot) sleep for ~29.5 minutes.

I actually noticed weather enabled with an 8 hour refresh would cause ~6 minutes of 700mhz and then drop down to deep sleep as well.

Who knows.
I did a clean install of 27...attempted dirty on M4.
I'm performing another clean here, though.
Will let you know.

Does the transparency status bar feature change the actual status bar at the top of the screen? The reason I ask is that in another ROM I tried only the drop down screen changed and not the actual status bar.
Yep.
Actual status bar.

Pretty slick...
But it made for a transparency on the lockscreen wallpaper (thus showing my home beneath the lockscreen where the status bar). I'm kinda' finicky on little details...that bugged me. Back to %100 I went.

And to those who saw my post...
Hopefully zaphod doesn't mind me saying, but we pm'ed a bit and it seems there is a legitimate problem with setting your weather updates to "off."
They also think they know the root of said problem.

Cheers on another great build, guys!

Edit:
Also read you no longer watch the "Bug reporter" so I figured I'd mention it here.
GPS enabling by applications (i.e. tasker/seekdroid) doesn't work with android 2.3+
CM7 had this fixed (not sure if CM9 has already follow suit or not).
I also noticed Cerberus seems to be able to do so when installed as a system application. (Didn't test as a regular app) but the others seem to still not be able to.

Also...
Boot sounds.
I know, I know...it's probably been asked.
But boot sound switcher? Or even just enabling system/media/ to look for a bootaudio.mp3 would suffice.
I was an old MIUIDX fan. Became accustomed to my completely portal-themed sound system I had.
Custom sounds for the keyboard...lockscreen...notifications...and the "activating" phrase that turrets mutter when you walk past.
I'd love that again!

This please. I didn't even know that this was an issue until I got this phone because I always used CM7
Lol, same.
What is the "com.sec.android.internal.ims" process coming from?
I'm getting an insane amount of wake-ups from it.
(Not a kernel problem, I don't think. Strange however...as I haven't installed anything.)
Running Imo's newest 2.5.0
+5
And it's the same for face brightness or whatever the other one is.
I mentioned this a few builds back (24ish) in the bug watcher.
As it seems you're not watching that...figured I'd confirm that this still exists.
Edit:
And also...it seems the power-control-enabled-navbar-disabler (say that five times fast) is actually much LESS functional on this build than 27.
27 I was getting consistent results...albeit a 4-10 second delay occasionally.
This build it almost never works...and I either have to reboot systemUI (by toggling settings>rom control>general UI>horizontal recents on and off) or reboot completely to get the bar to show back up...

Edit 2:
Personally...I wouldn't mind toggling the navbar to auto-reboot system UI.
It wouldn't be quite as fast (when functional) but it would work every time at least.
