How are in-app ads even a problem? I just don't understand at ALL. You're wise enough to root. You're wise enough to install CWM. You're wise enough to install AOKP. WHY CAN'T YOU DOWNLOAD AD-FREE?!?! It's not like it even costs any money...

And for the record, I'm not trying to be rude or hostile...I just have seen this a lot lately. I cannot see how ads are a problem in this day and age after doing something as simple as downloading an ad blocker. I do it for Android, I do it for Chrome...it takes like 3-clicks and I never worry about ads again.
Its not so much about not wanting to see the ads, is about the app using phone features like GPS which drain the battery.

Even if the ads don't show up, that doesn't mean that the app isn't still using these extra permissions and draining the battery. I don't have a problem seeing ads, I have a problem with the fact that seeing ads often is tied to apps draining excessive battery life. So I'd like to be able to disable an app's ability to use GPS to find my location (and thus save battery life). Make sense?
Maybe this will help for a starting point. You might need to tweak to your liking, but I've found this a good general level for my phone and use.

I enable light sensor filter and set window length to 10 sec. Reset threshold set to 400lux and sample interval set to 1sec. Use custom light levels and go to edit other levels. I also use the decrease levels option it's nice. Here are my settings ymwv:

thanks will give that a try.
I want to report to ZaphodBeebleBrox his Gapi Geezer mod is working in B28.
I cannot get the latest 0317 gapps, I keep getting a redirect loop, from PC, and phone.

Thanks for this. I don't know what some of the settings even do so this is a nice thing to have to start.

What does the extra volume options do?

Not without a loss of some features it's not. That's a SystemUI from M4. It may work, but some of the 'goodies' from this build will be missing.

I'm gonna try and update Old Geezers soon (maybe tonight).
Never mind figured out extra volume is for the volume rocker. So cool.

Does anyone have a link to what the brightness options mean? The window, decrease, etc settings?

Anyone have suggestions for color correction settings? Im not even sure which kernel to try :pSent from my Galaxy Nexus

There once was a thread @ xda....think there still is I'm sure....that got deep into the meaning of all the CM auto-brightness settings (reset threshold, window length, sample interval, screen dim level, allow light decrease, decrease hysteresis, etc...). I remember it well from my Inc days, however, I don't have a link atm. Most of them are pretty self explanatory if you think about it. I know, that doesn't help much, but Google-ing these terms will net you some positive results I'm sure :)
I've got a torrent running you can try. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8139728/gapps-ics-20120317-signed.zip.torrent

Never did my usual report.
Weather is indeed fixed.
Build is the same bugless goodness I've come to expect thus far.

Still (as expected with such a late report) getting the nav-bar bug I mentioned.
I'm sure applicable parties are already aware of it.

But...elsewhere...
It's still butter.
Butter, cream, and sex.
Yup.

Edit:
OH! And the MD5 issue that was mentioned.
I too was getting bad downloads with mirror 2 as soon as this was released.
But...the torrent (that I ended up using) matched the provided MD5.
Hopefully that's the "correct" version.
As it seems to be...it's working fantastically obviously.

If you want fewer homescreen re-draws...I've been using this for the last couple builds.
Fantastic.
I'd highly recommend it to the users!
*NOTE*
The CWM.zip doesn't work. Upon dissection it seems that this is due to it trying to place your services.jar into /framework rather than /system/framework.
You could potentially just add that folder into the .zip...but I haven't tested. Just went the manual route.

Just want to state that the volume rocker is one of the coolest things yet. I'm sure that's another one of your mods that will make it into the legendary CM.

Im using settings from cm9 (or closest) .93xxx .93xxx .93xxx and 60,60,60 faux kernel.

Something else you might want to look into if you like this tweak is loopy smoothness. There's also some build.prop edits that can help with responsiveness and redraws. Here's what I use.

Code:
#Battery Life
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=1
pm.sleep_mode=1
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=150

#High Quality .jpeg's
ro.media.enc.jpeg.quality=100

#Phone dials out faster
ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=1000

#Faster Video Streaming
media.stagefright.enable-player=true
media.stagefright.enable-meta=true
media.stagefright.enable-scan=true
media.stagefright.enable-http=true

#Performance
ENFORCE_PROCESS_LIMIT=false
MIN_HIDDEN_APPS=false
MAX_HIDDEN_APPS=false
MAX_ACTIVITIES=false
ACTIVITY_INACTIVITY_RESET_TIME=false
MAX_RECENT_TASKS=false
MIN_RECENT_TASKS=false
APP_SWITCH_DELAY_TIME=false
MAX_PROCESSES=false
PROC_START_TIMEOUT=false
CPU_MIN_CHECK_DURATION=false
GC_TIMEOUT=false
SERVICE_TIMEOUT=false
MIN_CRASH_INTERVAL=false
debug.sf.hw=1
video.accelerate.hw=1
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=150
debug.performance.tuning=1
ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1
NOTE: If there is already an entry with a different value in build.prop, the entry listed first takes precedence. I tend to just leave them alone if any are already in there. Dev's know best.

Seems my phone is charging to %100 and staying there.
Can anyone confirm?
I'm running Imo's latest kernel (stable).

I'd rather not hammer my battery at %100 all night.
What exactly is the volume setting with the "!" in a quote bubble for? Speakerphone?

Notifications.
It will update the slider visually (if you have them linked) once the menu is brought back up again.

Mine stayed at 100% for a few minutes after unplugging, just checked it and it's down to 82%.

Oh, I should clarify.
I mean while on the charger.
It discharges fine.
I thus know I don't have the "God Battery" bug (Stuck at %100 off charger).

Normally it fluctuates between 98-100 for the sake of not ruining your battery.
Two things: 1) does "Enable fast charge at boot" have to be checked for the fast charge toggle to work (assuming yes)? 2) does anyone have some recommended values for color/gamma settings? Thanks in advance.
