Hey guys I'm still running 4.1 (M1) and I'm starting to want some of the features in 4.2. I was wondering how stable the builds are nowadays? I know its aokp so its always good but still wondering about any bugs since there is no official 4.2 build out yet.

Most of us on here use them as daily drivers. Flash & prosper. :D

4.2 is pretty stable. its def faster than 4.1 for sure. i switched over to it during the holidays and its been pretty good. still some things that bug me but i understand its still beta-ish so i can let it go. one big thing to note though, if you switch to 4.2, it will be a PITA to switch back to 4.1 because 4.2 uses a different folder structure now. this was something i didn't know beforehand. i wanted to switch back to 4.1 only because i felt it was more stable and had all features working properly. but i learned to love 4.2 in a few days time and haven't looked back.

Is it just me, or is boot time much quicker these days? Plus I am definitely a sucker for transparent navbar! Set opacity to 50% and both bars blend beautifully with the wallpaper. This thing is getting nice!

This. I flashed and flashed, back and forth from AOKP to Shiny, and all of a sudden my original files were in root://0/0/0/0/0/0 and then I was a sad panda.

On the latest 4.2 AOKP preview and it's so beauteous

now that jb-mr1-build 1 is out, maybe somebody can figure out how to stop the lock screen from timing out (going to sleep) while you're actively scrolling (vertically) within a lock screen widget? only way to keep the phone awake is to scroll (horizontally) to another lock screen. kind of defeats the purpose of lock screen widgets if you gotta do everything within the timeout period. sometimes i think i'm the only guy here that uses a PIN on my phone :)

If there happens to be a stevespear pub is it more than likely going to be the same as the aokp jan 3 release just posted?

I see a grouper so I figured a toro was coming but wasn't sure what major differences would be so I haven't flashed from the link above just yet.

Go for it. There really isn't that much of a difference between them and you can't go wrong with a build from Roman,... mr. Original Butter himself. Running buttery smooth here.
