Next I would like to thank my team for putting up with me disappearing for two weeks to make this work for you guys. There are so many people I want to thank for making this possible. First biggest thanks to slayher, he did this first and has helped out with ALOT of bugs that he had to deal with when there was no one else here to help him fix them. He also helped me update this to mr2.5 General thanks go to birdman, b16, cvpcs, the whole cm team, peteralfonso, drod2169, ksknightmare, the irc guys, sgarriques, imoseyon, the users in this thread including avlfive and jaxidian and mikereDD which i've seen answer hundreds of questions. If I don't have you listed and you helped in some way, biggest thanks to you. Im old sorry.

It's too bad there isn't more discussion on here. I am running this on my DX and love it. My wife has a D1 and I am trying to find something super stable for her. CM7 had issues with data loss and whatnot, MIUI she loved because of the looks but its a bit slow, reboots on the charger, and sometimes won't let her answer calls haha.

After trying this on my DX and seeing how smooth, fast, clean, and stable it is, I'm gonna try it on her D1. Hopefully I get similar results. I'll report back.

ya, theyve been around for a while. really the only reason we consider them nightlies is because we havent found a stopping point yet.

So far its running great. When it finishes restoring the apps I'm going to put a pink theme on it for her, overclock it a little, then let her have it. Hopefully she likes it and ummm shows her appreciation... ^_^

Having a small issue. There are a few apps that don't show up in the market and can't be restored from .apk. Wells Fargo is the one I've run into so far. Searching the market for it shows nothing and when I try to restore the APK using MyBackupPro, it fails.

This happened to people on the first MIUI build I think. I just ran JRummy's market fix which I think just changes the fingerprint. We'll see if that works once it reboots.

oh shit black screen after the "M"

Only thing I've done during this boot was setup SetCPU, install a few apps, and run the market fix. Now either the bootanimation is gone or it is freezing after the M. fml

All is well again but still no Wells Fargo. I don't know how they fixed MIUI but I need to figure it out.

Edit 1: "This item is not compatible with your device." when visiting market.android.com and finding Wells Fargo. hmm

Edit 2: build.prop currently has:

ro.build.fingerprint=verizon/shadow_vzw/cdma_shadow/shadow:2.2.1/VZW/23.340:user/ota-rel-keys,release-keys

shouldn't that say something about sholes and 2.3.5 or something?

Edit 3: Actually, the above fingerprint may have been put there by the Market Fixer app. Not sure. I'm manually changing mine to:

ro.build.description=voles-user 2.2.2 FRG83G 91102 release-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=verizon/voles/sholes/sholes:2.2.2/FRG83G/91102:user/release-keys

Hopefully it helps.

Edit 4: Son of a... that made me blackscreen after the M logo again. :_con:

so i ADB'd into the phone and when i edited the build.prop, it renamed the original to build.prop.bak and created a new one. the size for the new one was 0 WTF

So i got rid of the size 0 file and tried to restore the backup:

rm build.prop
cp build.prop.bak build.prop

and it said i was out of space... df -h shows that the /system/ partition is 140M/140M so when it went to create the new one there wasn't any room.

The only apps I installed into /system/ are the GAPPS. Everything else should be in /data/ so I'm not sure why it's full. Here is the breakdown of /system/ :

5.4M /system/fonts
4.8M /system/usr
121K /system/system
688.5K /system/etc
7.2M /system/media
6.9M /system/xbin
9.5M /system/framework
39.5M /system/lib
5.1M /system/bin
57.3M /system/app
2K /system/lost+found
136.6M /system

I don't know what to remove. Can I resize the partition or something??

Edit:

Removed: Cyanbread, Androidian, ProTips, GenieWidget.

Moved to a backup dir on sdcard: LiveWallpapers, LiveWallpapersPicker, MagicSmokeWallpapers since she doesn't use them. Moved QuickSearchBox and CarHome to the backup dir since there is a GoogleQuickSearchBox and CarHomeGoogle in there already (doubles?).

Time to reboot and cross my fingers.

Okay, after removing those apks to make room, editing the fingerprint to what I mentioned earlier, and rebooting, the phone is back to life and I still can't download Wells Fargo... :|

That was fun. LOL

If you can adjust partition sizes in the rom, please add a bit more because the stock rom plus GAPPS fills it up it seems.

She is going to have to visit WF in the browser for now, but I wonder what is messing with the market.

I promise I won't post anymore until someone else does. LOL

or I promise to TRY not to anyway -_-

Yeah. We just found out it was the rom size about a week ago. I did df to /system and found it 100% used just like you. It appeared to have fix itself a few nights ago but now its back. We are aware of the issue, so at least you know that we know.

drove me crazy for a little while though :p

the only issue on her D1 now is the few apps that don't show up in the market. It has an up to date fingerprint now so that isn't the issue.

We switched to useing small_base.mk. check the history in vendor or device. Xoomdev remembered it from old froyo builds he did on the droid back in the day.

Noob question. I want to flash this on my wife's Droid. But do I need to flash CM7 first then flash OMFGB over the top like I had to on my Fascinate? I had a DX but that was a whole different beast compared to the OG Droid. (No locked bootloader).

Nope, just wipe data/cache and flash. The OG doesn't care what rom you had previously since its fully unlocked.

My wife has been happy with it also. That's saying quite a bit since she usually complains about the D1 being slow or buggy.
