He went over his bandwidth, guaranteed. He should've put it on multiupload instead. Luckily I still had both files. I stuck both the bootanimation.zip and the transdroid.mp3 file in one zip file and uploaded it myself.

Grab it here.

Got the animation changed but yeah, no audio. Any help with that would be appreciated. Permission issue perhaps?

Carl,

You said you have a 'Bolt, right? What ROM are you running? I'm running CM7, and placing the zip in /system/media works fine, but I can't get the sound to work. Tried putting it in both /system/media and in /system/media/audio/notifications neither worked.
I see somebody else posted the script to get bootsounds to work.
The link in the posts on xda for the script will work but there are some typos in the script itself. Sometimes it will not create issues others it will throw a error and not work. I have the corrected script in my dropbox here.

If you have ran the script already and its giving errors you will need to delete some things from your build.prop and couple other places.

Here is how to remove it.
Make sure you are mounting in R/W mode on each of these steps.

Delete any instances of it.
Using a app like root explorer, goto /system/bin and delete the file bootsound.
Back out to /system now open build.prop in text editor mode, look for this text.

Code:
ro.config.play.bootsound=1
Delete it from the build.prop and save and exit.

This is optional but recommened.
Reboot phone.
Verify no sound is playing.

Now run the script again and reboot.
You should have a boot sound again.

The only way I have found is to add a short silence the length of the droid animation to the audio file.
Unfortunately unless your rom/kernel supports bootsound it wont sync using the commands in the desc.txt.
Would be nice to find out what the kernel needs to support this but I have not been able to get that information so I can pass it along.

Yeah, it's hard to believe CyanogenMod doesn't support boot sounds. Everything else is!

I dont wanna get too much off topic so Ill keep it simple.I found this script via CM forums. It was said bootsound was one of the "cutable" part of most kernels. But nobody has ever said how to re-add it. /shrug.

BTW Carl love the animation I tried a similar animation for the LG Optimus V phones was a big hit on xda and AC.
I have a edited version of this for phones will (gasp) smaller screens, if anybody is using a phone without the larger reso lemme know and Ill send it your way.

For those not sure how to do this Ive suggested this tool before as its pretty simple.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.arayray.bootanimationutility

If it doesnt show up for you in the mobile market, its not compatible with your phone (yet).
I would just hit the link from your pc browser and check it out there. If your signed in it will tell you if its compatible with your phone.
