Yes, sorry, downloaded from droid-life the nexus .zip and moved it to system/ meida and renamed old as .bak after reboot would not work so tried changing permisssions, lol. I am a stupid noobe and I wander around going and doing things I have no idea how, lol anyway some pointer on how to install would be good as what i have read, did'nt work, Thanks MikeNot sure how you did this so I'll ask. Did you extract the boot animation from the zip? Did you go into system/media and rename the original bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak? The animation that you want to replace it with has to be named exactly bootanimation.zip. Once its renamed move or copy the file In system/media. There is a free boot animation changer in the market. Think called boot animation utility. This has worked for me on some animations. Hope this helps.
'It should look like this when done correctly. I need to add that the audio file probably won't be in yours. My animation has sound.

how did you find and add the sound for the bootanimation zip?Im guessing your rooted. The picture is done with a app called shoot me. Drocap2 works also. The animations in this thread will work. You just need to unzip the file and find the file "bootanimation.zip " and extract it.
Thank you for all your help. And NO not all the smart ones are on xda. If you meant smart a$$ ones ok, they are not nice at all. I would never ask a question there or recomend anyone to go there. They are not the kind of person my Dad raized me to be, anyway thanks a lotXDA is a great site. If you need anything its there. Very smart people. But as far as animations go jaekarr has the best I have seen. So not all the smart ones are on XDA.
