When I try and install this through the recovery i get an error message E:Can't open /sdcard/Sound_Mod.zip, Installation aborted. I have a DX running Liberty 0.8. Any suggestions ?

Sounds like the download was either incomplete or corrupt. I'd suggest erasing the file and re-download.
