My cousin just got one and she wants Wifi tethering...of course she would have to rooted to do that. I haven't seen anything on this device. Lets see if we can root it. I'm trying to get a /system dump. Its running 2.1 with some custom ui. Universal AndRoot couldn't root it.... I can't really use any PC assisted methods since I'm currently on Windows 8 and drivers hate it.

EDIT: Found a root method. My Google-fu is weak.
