Was just wondering if anyone has flashed an android phone over to cricket & if so, how it works, & if you are satisfied. Thanks!:grin3:

I have my DX flashed over to Cricket. The Cricket place did it. He wouldn't answer any of my questions about flashing or anything. Trade secrets I guess. Makes me want to figure what he did and share with others here. Had to downgrade to froyo from GB to "get the Youtube and MMS" to work. It has been running fine, minus their MMS program having the time off on all my txts so I use the one that came with VZW blur sbf. If I want to send a pic or tune I have to use their MMS program. I am looking into getting everything to work on GB and removed the throttling I suspect they are doing to me. But for $55 a month its cheap! I am satisfied over all, but YMMV... I am working on upgrading back to GB with all the Cricket stuff working. I'll post when I do.
you can upgrade to gb my droid 2 is on gb and i flashed it to cricket myself. Heres a guide if itll help you

You didn't like the prepaid aspect of it? It's tons cheaper, everything works, and there's no contract. What's not to like?

they cut off your service the day you bill is due i run a business with my phone so i can't have that happen and t-mobile is just as cheap as cricket and has better nationwide service

I've found this to be true.... T-Mobile has 4G with 5GB data for $60 a month and you can use ANY T-Mobile android on this plan. All you have to do is buy the phone and buy the prepaid simcard for it.

I personally flashed my Droid X to Cricket the day I bought it from my friend using UPPTV's Youtube video(Thanks MegaAndroid94) and saved like $60. I'm starting to regret it. Not the DX, the piss poor customer service, lack of support(none at all for flashed phones) and even worse customer service at the Cricket stores. I do like the ability to use damn near any phone you want though, As far as shutting off service, I pay my bill like a week or 2 early every month so I'm not sure about that.
