So I noticed both ShadowICS and EncounterICS seemed kind of abandoned and thought I would pick up CM9 DX builds also since I'm doing the D2G builds so without further ado.....
CyanogenMod 9 for DX

What works/doesn't work:
I have no idea what does not work at this point. Most everything does work though. If you need to know what doesn't then look through the last few pages of this thread or this thread.
READ THE THREAD BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS. CHANCES ARE IT HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED.

Builds are spread out over several different locations and the one here may not always be the latest.
Bikedude880 - Base d2g repo that much of this is based off of
Hashcode - frameworks and several other things
JackpotClavin - First got data on the Droid Pro which got me to start work on this.

Install instructions:
Boot into CWM recovery
wipe data/factory reset
Flash CM9-DX-<date>.zip
Flash Gapps
Reboot
There will be no changelog anymore. This is mostly because there are very minor changes between builds now. If you want one then look at the github commit logs.
Dr. Carpenter...you and zerospeed (I think that was his username) made the mods for thesoft buttons and such for FEics right? Any plans to port those over to this rom or am I able to usethose with this?
Don't use those, they are based on 4.0.1, this is 4.0.3. I will look into doing them for this as well, now that my DX is strictly a test/dev device (got a RAZR the other day).
I can confirm pretty much everything in the OP with the exception of the radio (my DX is no longer activated), and bluetooth (don't use it, sorry). Otherwise looks good
Once my phone is charged up, I'll flash and test a call, texts, and bluetooth. Almost flashed when I had 35% battery, and I doubt that would be smart if it somehow died in the middle of doing something. XD
Just flashed it and so far so good! Thanks for all the hardwork and for keeping DX ICS alive! Now if only someone could get the camera working and my life would be complete..
Mmm. Very nice. I've been waiting for something like this, since now I can work on the user-land side with new features and fixes. My attempts at source-built were quickly proven useless, without adequate time to dedicate to getting it working. One quick question: does this use bootmenu?
My attempts were failing too. Asked one of my testers to try a D2G build and it booted fine so i ported it. Working on re-doing my shadow trees now so that built builds work rather than porting each build.
No it doesnt. I personally find it to be rather useless and an added pain to get working right.
Will flash this sometime tmr since I need a fully functional rom for work. Anyone confirm that the radio is working? No loss of bars? Currently on Encounter's ICS and its great! Buttt this has voice commands, 1% battery....very tempting...
Just a few quick question...First does this have the issue with infastructure mode not working for wireless tethering? Secondly is there anyway you can port over the hardwarekey lights off from the DefX MIUI build? If so that'd be deeply appreciated. Flashing it now and will give feedback later.
Radio is working great. I was able to tether to my nook tablet no problem using wifi tether. Bluetooth works great for music, but audio for calls is garbled and completely unusable.
After a data wipe and a install from EncounterICS, my DX hangs at a black screen right after the moto logo. I am on the GB kernel. Is that wrong?
No boot animation shows up. Tried booting it while plugged in to charger and off, no difference it seems.
Had a small play with this and its running pretty good. I'll wait for a couple days to let cache build up and see how things go from there. Since the Radio is working, 3G is fine, I can send/receive texts, calls are good too. It looks like this ROM also doesn't have the wrong microphone input either while in a call, unlike EncounterICS Beta 3 currently, so that's good. I'll see about doing some other things over time, and when I can get time.
Only thing I can say right now is when I tried to plug it in to charge it. Apparently, it didn't detect that it was even connected at first, so my battery almost died on me until I replugged the phone end, and now it appears to be charging. Probably just a fluke on my end, so nothing to worry about.
Another thing I happen to see were some placeholders in the menu... Looking forward to seeing those changes implemented in a future update to CM9 as the code gets put in. I'm definitely looking forward to the themes..
Remember guys, X13thAngelX does NOT have a test DX to answer all these questions about if something works or doesn't work yet. He's relying on us for feedback/logs/error reports and not questions about whether feature X works or not.
Give it a day or two and the users with the nerve to flash this will report back on functionality. Give it a week or so and X13thAngelX will be able to test. But remember that he's building this for the D2g primarily and the X and D2 are just an added bonus for us. Any help we can give is .. helpful.
If you find a bug, get a log of it whenever possible. "alogcat" from the market is a good way to do this
Very GOOD post Pooka!! As far as the camera, as soon as someone is able to figure it out, the internet will EXPLODE with the news.
