I work in electronics retail and was very interested when the sony rep first told me about it but lost interest when it hit the market due to many of its shortcomings. Almost a year later I too own the sony google tv bluray (just keeping my fingers crossed for the 3D update) and am very excited with the direction that it is going in. Many TV's should have this in 2012 so hopefully that will spur more dev's to port their apps over.

I bought a refurb Revue for $79 from Amazon and I like it...there was an issue with the setup process but a little Google searching gave me the solution. I think for the price it couldn't be beat...better than the Roku. I haven't checked out the Sony yet but for what I paid for the Revue I can always upgrade to something better when it hits the market

I only bought it due to the $99 price tag. I was very happy with my device. However, the more I play with it, the more I find little quirks and defects that Google has left behind. 1) My YouTube app doesn't work. 2) Poor integration with Amazon Prime and 3) I can't watch rented movies from YouTube on the Revue.

Will definitely look for another device this coming year and hope that Google has a better software product!

I got the sony bluray player and I'm disappointed too. It feels like it has half A** support. not a lot of apps in the market place and I really believe that the search button should search the current app you have running... like android normally does, least on my phone it does.
