If she's on a non-Sense ROM (MIUI, CyanogenMod, etc.) then flashing over to a stock Sense ROM, updating PRL and profile, then sending and receiving a few calls and texts will usually fix this.
If she's on a Sense ROM, then update the PRL and profile, make and receive a few calls, and if it persists, give Sprint a call.
