  • Fixed CPU Transition Latency drod2169
  • Noop I/O Scheduler (Increased performance for SSD/Flash HDD)
  • CIFS support build into kernel new v4
  • TUN support built into kernel new v4
  • init.d support

  • Availalbe CPU Frequency Governors (powersave) (userspace) (interactive) (ondemand) (conservative) (performance) (hotplug)
  • Kernel Debugging disabled for increased performance
  • Disabled excessive debugging for increased performance
  • More .config optimizations new v4
  • No longer using Any Kernel method due to modified init.rc entire boot.img flash required new v4
[head]Please Note

This kernel does not contain experimental features, back ports or untested code. As per the video this is a very "conservative" kernel as far as the code is concerned if you're looking for something more "edgy" this is not for you. I would consider this kernel to be a great mix of performance and stability that provides a great user experience and can be relied upon as a daily driver.[/head]

Hey Lou, I don't have a YouTube account so wanted to say thanks here for the video about mounting the nexus in Linux, was very helpful!

Will definitely give this a try, and I hope you post more videos. I'm fairly new to Linux and I get lost at times haha

This sounds like my kinda style.. I really like the vid great job on that, and your focus on real-world performance and smoothness rather than wowing with meaningless benchmarks is refreshing.. hope to try out the kernel later this week if I get some time. Thanks for all the hard work man!

Wish more devs would make vids for their rom/kernel releases. Beats reading a forum post. Trying this on rootzboat. Thanks.

I will make videos covering any content I produce in the future Roms, Kernels, Mods, Tutorials, etc....It adds a nice dynamic I think especially for those of us who spend a lot of time on these forums it breaks up the monotony.

Trying this out on Axiom...does this kernel over clock the GPU?

Feels pretty smooth...some slight judder returning from app tray to home screen (using Nova), but overall it's very close to 1350 Apex kernel I was running previously.

Without even using the kernel, I gotta at least say that the video was awesome and I will certainly give this kernel a shot once undervolting is added.

The "judder" you mention I've experienced on all ICS launchers so far it seems to be a launcher issue thanks for the feedback though!
