The Motorola og Droid that is. I upgraded to a thunderbolt a while back and gave my og to a buddy but returned it back to factory for him. Of course now he wants to root, and I forgot how.

Yeah just what excaliber88 said. Its the easiest way to root. UNLESS u want to do the SBF method which has a higher chance of bricking your phone should u not follow the steps exactly.

One click. For some reason the latest version wouldn't boot into recovery but one we reverted to an older version of cwm it started acting normal

Shh. Sometimes the hooks are cwm version dependant. I'm part of the OMFGB team and we have godmode which can flash update roms like rommanager and it cwm version dependant. We've had reports that the new cwm doesn't work with the flashing zips. Its a little different but maybe something similar is happening.

You fixed your problem though correct?
