Mod Type:: Kernel
Difficulty:: Moderate
Mod Status:: Beta
Apply In:: CWM Recovery
Carrier:: Sprint
Optional:: Includes Recovery
Requires Root:: Yes
Optional:: Overclocked
Android Version:: 4.0.4 (ICS)
Source::
This is a project started to add some features that I like to Shadow Kernel by bbelos and tweak some things to the way I like them. It turns out that others like these tweaks also.
This is basically the same as the v2 version I have posted within the AOKP thread with some minor changes.
Major thanks go out to bbelos as I used his kernel as a base.
Features:
-Voodoo Color
-Voodoo Sound
-MDNIE DISABLED
-A lot of CPU governors
-Tweaked color values
-Speed tweaks
-Optimizations
-Up to date with CM9 kernel
-Overclocking up to 1.4 GHz
-Custom undervolting via Voltage Control
-Battery optimized
-Bumped up readahead
-O3 size optimization
Thanks:
Bbelos - Base kernel and most of the tweaks and mods
Earthbound[iap] - Some of the governors
Epiccm team - Porting CM9 to the Epic
Ezekeel - A large chunk of tweaks also

How to overclock:
(By overclocking you take many risks and I am not responsible for ANY of them...)
How to undervolt:
(By undervolting you take many risks and I am not responsible for ANY of them...)

Epiccm team - Porting CM9 to the Epic

I/O Schedulers: (sources [1] [2])
- no-op - A simple, flash optimized I/O scheduler and intended to run on the java vm (good for the Epic)
- deadline - Can't find a way to explain it simply (good for the Epic)
- sio - A mix of deadline and no-op (BEST for Epic)
- bfq - Holy mother of god. confusing as hell... (I don't even know...)
- cfq - Tries to be fair and "in the middle" (made for spinning disk, not really good for phones)
CPU Governors: (sources [1] [2])
- Ondemand - switch to max frequency as soon as there is a CPU activity detected to ensure the responsiveness of the system. Works best with sio. You can tweak this in NSTools.
- Wheatley - A governor created by Ezekeel that is made to keep a medium of performance and battery. Acts similar to ondemand. Default.
- Conservative - A slower ondemand which scales up slowly to save battery.
- Scary - Seems to scale up with demand at a pace similar to Conservative but scales down fast to preserve battery.
- Performance - Stays at max frequency
- Powersave - Stays at min frequency
- Intellidemand
- Smoothass
- SmartassV2
- Samurai
- Lagfree
- SavagedZen
- Interactive
- InteractiveX
- Userspace
How to overclock:
(By overclocking you take many risks and I am not responsible for ANY of them...)
- Download Voltage Control from the Play Store
- Move to the Voltages tab
- Tap the gray cpu chip next to foltage you want to use (probably all of them)
- Go back to the General tab
- Pull the MAX slider to the level you want to overclock to
- Click save settings
How to undervolt:
(By undervolting you take many risks and I am not responsible for ANY of them...)
- Download Voltage Control from the Play Store
- Move to the Voltages tab
- Tap the number of the frequency you want to undervolt (lower freqs = safer and less chance to freeze)
- Move the slider backwards until you reach a level you like (I like -75 up to 1000MHz)
- Click save settings
