I know that tons of people find themselves on Rootz because the community is so much more friendly than what XDA is (sadly). My question is how many of us Inspire owners switched? It looks like there's only one or two of us on this currently, and the virtuous team and PirateGhost seems to be the only devs.

I am no dev but I have been trying various Tom's since I got the phone. I am going to Thailand in a week so I need to settle on one at least for the trip. I have tried virtuous unity, coredroid ... then cm 7.1 then nightlies to black ice to betas.

My wife thinks I am nuts.

I am happy trying new roms and play with it. I have had hard crashes and fcs but I've been backing up all the time.

I may not post a lot but I will be around.

Well. I either found spittle bug or more likely caused it. I was trying the latest black ice beta. I was going to a concert and wanted to try and really extend my battery. So, I turned off data and set it to 2g andeverything was great but my wife was asking about something on line and although enabling data and trying to switch from 2g, it wouldn\'t switch. I thought it did but no internet either with dolphin or Firefox. I tried rebooting and even a cold boot. I finally just left it alone (I was listening at a concert.) As I left, everything was back.
I have fc and other mistakes (mostly mine) but I thought about going back to nightlies. But, ice had a new stable so I am back.
I also in the interim upgraded to 16g card using my PC. I then used 4ext to redo my data to ext4.
I am not knowledgeable yet to see a difference.
But, with the bigger card (of course), I am putting coredroid on in case of trouble in Thailand, lol.

Also, there's an app on the market called "Boot Manager" that will actually install ROMs on your SD card (up to four, I think!), which allows for a sort of multi boot option for those who are seriously flash addicted. I haven't tried it myself but I have heard nothing but good things about it.

The funny thing is I have boot manager but I think I want to iron out the bugs and then give it a try. It would be cool to go from one to another.

I need to set priorities too. Ugh, I am going to Thailand tomorrow and I just had to try absolution. It took a lot of fiddling because of fcs and broken links but it is up and it looks good. Now, please no Roms before tomorrow.

Lol, I use a keyboard from the market. That way the user dictionary is stored in the backup and I don't have to start over every time I flash a new rom

Alright. I'll just have to stop flashing Tom. I can't seem to help myself. On the other hand. I did flash Black Ice 1.2 for awhile to use the GPS in chiang mai. I had to go back to absolution when I had fcs with my contacts.
