We've unlocked our bootloader - now what?

Is there a version of twrp we can flash? Can we use goo/im to do so?

We all have the dev edition now ;-)

From what I've read all dev edition recoveries and ROMs will work. Only thing to stay away from is international edition stuff.

DroidRzr is where it's at. I've tried both of these and they both work just fine. After you verify that TWRP is working by rebooting to recovery (pwr+vol up) you can safely uninstall safestrap. But you can make backups with safestrap and just use TWRP's Restore to make what was previously a rom slot your actual rom.

I've unlocked but the Droidrzr thread for TWRP doesn't seem to be working for me. After running it everytime I try to boot into recovery I just get the image of the android on his back with the red triangle.

I believe that if you flash in fastboot then power off and flash into recovery twrp should disable the system writing over the new recovery on the next boot

Unfortunately, there is no way to know for sure. You should ask them to see what OS is on it before you buy it, and tell them you'll update it yourself. I'm sure they will give you crap about the update tho.

I know how to play a paranoid customer well enough I think, I'll tell them I'm concerned about the lag issues I've heard so much about on JB with the HD....

there is a root method for 4.1.2 now.. which you can then use the unlock tool. I can confirm the root and unlock tools both work as i just used them both

Where is this unlock tool everybody talks about? I sure would like to return to my razr hd if it's unlockable now with custom roms. I sure miss the battery life.

Got Moto Chopper installed on my PC. Just waiting for a good reason to use it. Still stock, locked, and unrooted on 4.1.2 waiting for a 4.2.2 ROM to drop. Maybe we will finally see AOKP on a RAZR soon?! Maybe?
