Now introducing the new and shiny JDkernel Updater App. You will have to enable updates in order to use the app. Launch the app and press menu>configuration>Kernel Update Settings and check Display All Kernel Updates and Display Experimental Kernels. (Thanks to jf, segi valez, trock79, firefart and cyanogen for the app)

This kernel is a lean and minimal kernel for the Incredible 2. I will try to update it every night.

Features: New Smartass governor, Undervolted, SLUB unqueued allocater, Readahead buffer increased to 1040, Optimized compiler (compiled with neon and cortex flags) , Lagfree Governor, swap support, smoothass governor, backported conservative and ondemand govs from 3.0 rc7, backported wifi driver from 3.0 rc7, cpuidle code from 3.0 rc6, minmax governor, interactiveX governor, vdd leves interface, call recording, wireless charging support, V(R) IoSched, lowered wifi voltage, raised GPU allocation, audio values based off Cayniarb's, JHash3, Automated per tty task groups patch , other various tweaks and optimizations.

Is Smartass v2 going to be included in an update?
I have temporarily went to tiamat for smartass v2. Hopefully there will be an update soon because the tiamat kernel is giving me issues. Random reboots, battery info page is all ****ed up, some apps force close. Redownloaded and reinstalled and haven't seen any reboots (yet) but the battery info is still ****ed.
I am running the Liquid Smooth ROM, it's a kick ass ROM. It has Tiamat as stock, so I'm in the same boat. Smartass v2 seems to scale better. Hopefully it get's added...
I've been running nothing but cm7 since i rooted. Not really sure why i never tested anything else but i never seen anything that looked as nice. I am kind of getting irritated with cm7 though because the last nightly that doesn't have huge calling problems is 85 and now it's at like 95. thankfully i never updated past 85 so i never had to deal with wipe/restore. Perhaps now that i have internet at my apartment i will look into others. Anyways my tiamat issues continued and i had to switch back to jdkernel 9-19.
Edit: decided to try out the liquid rom. Very nice. had to go back to adw launcher. Been wanting to try out the honeybread theme and it looks quite beautiful. Think I'll be sticking with this for awhile.
two requests if this kernel is still being updated? id love to see higher incall volume & smartassv2 added. i cannot use tiamat due to my phone locking up.

Are you using 9-19-11 build?

yes i am just the incall still seems very low at full volume.

Oh okay. The stable build didn't have the volume fix. The 9-19 version isn't too bad, but I guess a little louder couldn't hurt. It may also depend on the rom. I'm back on CM7, and I think that has higher volume than some of the other AOSPs.

I would love to see Smartass v2 for sure. I don't know if JD has been watching this thread. He hasn't responded here in a while.
Ya know the only volume issue I ever had was low speakerphone volume. No issues with that for months and i've been using jdkernel all the time. Are all you guys deaf or am I always in an environment with low ackground noise?

it could be the rom im running too "liquid v3.0". i may try out cm7 tonight and see if it's any better. i hope he will still update this kernel as we only have 2 aosp kernels available. id love to see bfs, smartassv2 and a volume increase fix.

I think the call volume is okay. Tiamat may be a little louder, but I don't like the Tiamat kernel. The only volume I wish was louder is external speaker. When I watch a Youtube video I usually need headphones to hear.
If anyone wants to try a jdkernel/tiamat merged kernel, I have one that seems to work with no noticeable issues for me: http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gtg031s/files/aeroevan_Inc2-2011-10-18.zip

But I've only had my phone for two days, so I don't really know how it compares to others. I have it currently set to default to interactiveX, but that probably isn't the best choice I've been noticing. Between the two kernel source trees, there should be enough governors to choose a good one.

Also, if anyone has noticed one governor works significantly better for battery life and/or performance, please let me know :)

so you made this kernel yourself? does it have smartassv2? post a thread with the kernel and let people test it for you.

Damn fast kernel man, benchmarks are almost 2600. Can you add smartassV2? Also what is the smoothass govenor?

Smoothass is a slightly more aggressive version of smartas (from the config help). And http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gtg031s/files/aeroevan_Inc2-2011-10-20.zip should have smartassV2 set as default and is a much cleaner merge than before (with more goodies). I probably should start my own thread, and I probably will once I push everything to github.

I think I have all of the governors included in both kernels and lots of the backport work from jdkernel.

I'll give it a go today and see how it works out.
@aeroevan...Im on the latest MIUI rom v1.10.14. I flashed your kernel and instantly noticed that my wifi was no longer functional...just a heads up

kernel is working great, thanks for the smartassV2. the incall volume is much louder too.

make your own kernel thread man.

must be your router or the rom because my wifi is working great.
aero you really need to make your own kernel thread so we do not piss off JD. but your kernel soo far is awesome, no lag what so ever!
