I'm really sorry if it's irrelevant.
I have played the piano for ~10 years and after a 1 year break, I am looking to get back into it. Since I have started studying and moved out, I do not have access to my acoustic piano. So in order to start playing again, I have started looking into MIDI contollers since I have an audio interface flying around anyways and I would like to try out some music production stuff. Aditionally, I do not really need a keyboard with speakers, so getting a MIDI controller should also be a bit cheaper.
However, I am concerned with the feel these keys would provide. Usually I would just visit a music store and try some different options, but due to Covid I cant, so I have to rely on your opinions. I also am a bit on a budget, I would prefer to spend less than 200€ if possible, but from my research I dont know if the MIDI controllers in that range are really an option (and digital pianos dont even seem to start below 500).
So what are your views about
midi keyboard vs digital piano? Is the feeling of velocity-sensitive/semi-weighted keys okay or will I never be happy with those? Do MIDI controllers actually have proper Keys or do I need a digital piano? Do you have any recommendations?
