From Andy Thomson, original post at http://forums.miuiandroid.com/showthread.php?7738-MOD-Extended-Settings-Menu-Options

Welcome to the Extended Settings Mod.
I created an App. (it's my first one so no laughing!!!)
After installing you'll find it on one of your homecreens. It has the title "MIUI Control Panel"
This is where to go to access the options this Mod gives you. There is a screenshot below to show you what to expect when you open the app.

What is Does
Option to Hide/Unhide Status Bar Clock
Option to Hide/Unhide Alarm Icon
Option to select a custom colour for the clock

Option to Hide/Unhide Battery Icon
Option to select a custom colour for the top-bar battery

Option to select a custom colour for the carrier
Option to Hide/Unhide Carrier
Option to specify your own custom carrier text
Option to replace carrier text with a logo.

Option to specify pull-down date/time format. (see below for examples)
Option to specify lockscreen date/time format. (see below for examples)

Option to change Overscrolling.

As well as the above. If you go to Launcher Settings you will have the following options..

Option to enable/disable Wallpaper scrolling

Option to enable/disable Auto close folders.

Option to show/hide icon labels.
There are a number of important data formats, so if you want to change how the date is displayed, check the link posted at the top.

Installation instructions:
1. Reboot to recovery
2. MOUNT /SYSTEM
3. Install zip from sdcard

Download:
All three downloads are the same except for how they are displayed. ESCenter places the clock in the center, ESRight is clock on the right (standard), and ESSwitched places the notifications on the right side of the notification bar and the clock in the center.

FOR all MIUI ES Mods
The Goods

NOTE ::::: I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR THIS! I just wanted to get this in an easy to find location for other MIUI Users like myself, and haven't been able to find it anywhere else on Rootzwiki.

Regarding my fixes:

Extended settings now has my Airplane Bug Fix incorporated into it for version 1.9.16.

However, you currently have to make a choice (beginning next version, you will not have to make a choice):

-- Do you want Extended Settings Overscroll Feature and not my Volume Control Apps Fix? If so, flash the Rom and then flash Extended Settings.

-- Do you want my Volume Control Apps Fix and not Extended Setting's Overscroll Feature? If so, flash the Rom, then flash Extended Settings, then flash my Bug Stomper.

All other features of Extended Settings will work regardless of what you choose.

The ESSwitched didn't seem to work with MIUI 1.9.23 version I got stuck at boot animation. I was able to get back into CW and all is good :) But I really like the switched mod. Will it be updated?

Is it me or does the link no longer work?
Andy took a break from making these mods, and I guess dropped the website. I'll just post whichever versions of this I can find soon so people can still have the old versions.

However, if you want the best experience I would recommend using DXC's 10.21 version which has these mods built in.

Might as well just put this here:

If you are looking for Extended Settings the most recent releases of MIUI have them baked in. Check the forums for the most recent releases, as of now they are:

Stable (10.21)
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/7909-rom-miuius-defx-11021/

Test (ICS)
http://rootzwiki.com...119-unofficial/

If you are on an older version of MIUI I would highly recommend doing the update anyways, at least to the stable, especially if you are still on the Milestone base because the Defy base plays much nicer with the X (more stable, smooth, battery life, etc.)

If you really have it you want to keep your old outdated version of MIUI (hey, I'm not one to judge!) and just want Extended Settings, you can go to the root directory of Andy Thomson's site, which still exists here:

http://android.gcfam.../NonOverscroll/

These are the versions for 10.21, I'd assume they work on previous versions as well. Hope this helps.

I read through a bunch of that thread over there and got the center clock zip to work, but no luck with the app drawer. Seems a newer MIUIsettings.apk is needed for the app drawer to appear in the options. Looking through his site of downloads there is no apk for 1.10.21, I tried the 1.11.18 and it didn't install. Anyone able to get the latest apk installed?

App drawer? This shouldn't affect any sort of app drawer AFAIK. Are you talking about Overscroll? If I remember right 10.21 had that disabled due to issues with it. Its in the baked-in version of the ICS MIUI. If you need that I could probably pull the apk if you need it. If you are on 10.21 Extended Settings is baked in, just go to MIUI Control Panel app. If you want to change the clock location use the link in my post a couple up (sounds like you already did).

Got the clock centered, that was no issue. Looks like the app drawer was a new feature added about two weeks ago. A new apk was created, a newer version than what was baked-in. From what I can gather the clock settings were also added to this newer version. For now I'll just add some folders, at least in there I can sort everything alphabetically, that's basically the only thing I'm not liking about MIUI so far.
