Has anyone tested this on CM4DX? Also, I remember back in the froyo days there was a script to remove throttling... I think I used it on one of my Liberty installs. It nearly doubled my 3g. Is there any relation/similarity/overlap between these scripts?

Thanks for your work.

Just to be on the safe side i'm doing a quick backup beforehand. (its a complete p.i.t.a. to program my phone since im not in a verizon area and am constantly running on the extended network) I'll report back with my results.

EDIT: I just ran the script and on a fresh boot im getting about 1400Kbps. When i run it again it drops down to about 600Kbps. Then it goes back up and seems to sit around 1200-1300Kbps.

I rebooted for a third time just to see what happened and now im consistently getting 1400-1500Kbps downloads. I'm happy with that considering the most my phone has seen since now has been MAYBE 1003Kbps. I'll gladly take the increase :) Thanks BM!

Precisely. Oh and a little side note as well, i was curious about whether or not the mobile network settings would FC so i thought i'd give it a shot. I toggled both mobile data and roaming on an off several times a piece and i encountered no FCs.

fyi - your script isn't working.
the build prop part works.
but when it gets to the point of merging the classes.dex with the services.jar that doesn't work.
the classes.dex is first. it spits out a long thing about cp use but it does work. does it give an error msg?

when you say you toggled roaming you mean? Roaming is in the mobile network settings afair.

I don't think it works either. I'm thinking you should have it replace the services.jar file instead of classes.dex. have it rename the current services.jar file to services.jar.old and then copy the services.jar that has the modified classes.dex included.
