cmd was disabled at work...ah

so performing the script through cmd is successful....but cp classes.dex into services.jar causes me to sit at M logo.....hm

That's why you should copy services.jar and it should work fine. It will take a while to boot but it's normal.

just not sure it will be universal as every rom has its own services.jar but since MIUI and CM7 are based off Cm7 2nd-init should still be ok

Hey all. What's the normal rates via speedtest before one applies the script? I think I'm seeing an improvement but its not as drastic as say 2000kbs...I'm not getting fcs either. Will there be any adjustments to the script?

Here is a modified version of this concept.
this replaces services.jar & does build prop mods
it also backs them up and includes a restore script (so you don't have to reflash the rom should you wish to revert)
follow the same basic instructions as in the OP (copy unthrottle folder to root of sd card path's point to that folder)

So I ran the script and I'm not seeing any speed increases and mobile settings doesn't fc. I'm thinking maybe that means itbdisnt work.

The script works just ran it myself. Increased speed is seen. Thank you dvader, I was planning on including the revert script myself actually. I will incorporate it into the op and further builds. Much appreciation

Sounds like you're clickin on the wrong thing. Did you click on the black rectangular box labeled DOWNLOAD? Its starts downloading right away for me.
