Figured I would post the USCC Modems in one place so everyone won't have to search for them. You have two options, flash through recovery or Odin. The most current one is MB4.

The usual warning any-time flashing things like this on your phone can be risky. If you smoke your phone I take no blame. I have tested all of these on my personal phone before posting them here.

Zips are made for flashing via CWM or TWRP.
tar.md5's are packaged to flash with Odin.

FOR ODIN on COMPUTER: FLASH IN THE PDA SECTION

To use mobile Odin: Download - put md5 on your sd - Open mobile Odin - select Modem - navigate and choose the file - click flash firmware.

Odin Downloads:

MD4 - Needs someone to test it PM me if you are interested. Till then use the CWM - TWRP one.

if I remember right there was actually no change modem wise between lg4 and li4 or whatever the one was before li4. it was mostly just a bloatware/bug fix release.

Same reason I was going back to LG1 I tried LK5 but I swear I had a better signal on LG1, but now something very strang is going on, when at home I flashed back to LG1 & all was golden, did some errands etc solid 3g signal, upon arriving home, I was outside kicking the snow off my shoes & my damn phone feel out of my pocket hitting the step, luckily I have a cover on it & it landed on the backside, but after I came inside, a few min later pickes my ph up & on 3g only had a 1x signal, tried toggling airplane mode, rebooting etc all the usual stuff & still only a 1x signal when on cdma/3g, so I swithed it to lte & got 4g no prob, switched it back to cdma/3g & got 1x..wtf...so out of curiosity flashed LK5 & bam 3g no problem...so I flashed back to LG1 & 1x wtf..keep in mind I have been using the LG1 radio since Ive had my ph & never not been able to get 3g..I dont know wth happened but so now I have no choice but to use LK5 if I want a solid 3g at home (I rarely use lte).

I also want to add to the unanswerred question posted above on what the advantage is to each of these radios. I have never messed with the radio on my phone but if one of these, especially the newest one released on 6/23 gives me better signal, I'm all for it. Would anybody have an answer for us or can point us to where we can read up on it? Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen much if any difference in performance between MB1 and MD4. That being said I live in an area with strong 4g coverage. The true test would be from someone in an area that has weak reception. They would have a better idea if there is an improvement or not.

I have used lg4 and currently just upgraded to mb1. I heard people say that signal quality went down with md4. I live in a area with no 4g and I actually have been getting mostly really crummy signal where I moved too. I constantly have issues with receiving calls. Would anyone recommend a different modem or should I stick with mb1.

I have tried every radio, switched back & forth trying to compare signal strength & speeds & for the most part for me & my location they had all seemed fairly similar, until I got bored the other day & experimanted: I had flashed & was on the MD4 modem/firmware combo, some people have had problems I believe when flashing mix matched firmware/modems, so being on the MD4 firmare, I decided to flash back to the LG1 modem only over the MD4 firmware, & I swear, for reasons unknown I seem to be getting a more consistent & stronger signal & even seemingly slightly faster 3g downloads, at first I thought it just a fluke, a temp thing, but Ive been on that for 4 days now & still seem to have better/stronger/faster signal...go figure.
