Does having my thunderbolt overclocked cause it to make Nandroid backups faster? i had it on its 1.022 and when i put it to 1.6, i am making a Nandroid and it seems to be making the backup super quick.... just wondering if that would cause it.

It shouldn't because the recovery uses a different kernel. Not sure what would be causing it.

Backing up a smaller or aosp Rom will backup quicker because there is less to backup. Larger bloated sense roms take longer. Could that be the reason?

Major changes:
Backups now use tar over yaffs for everything except mtd partition. Backups got way faster. Backups now preserve the filesystem type at time of backup. Restores will restore the appropriate filesystem type at restore
