Good point, I haven't try installing themes on my Nexus yet. Thanks for the advice

Make sure you wipe. I always wipe system as well for safe measure. Which recovery are you using?
Im using TWRP. I followed the directions in the OP. I was kind of confused by them as I have always made a backup, wipe data and cash then flash whatever ROM

I did exactly what I have always done to install ROMs and it took it now

So, question, if I flash this version of cyanmod through cwm and decide to go back to a nandroid, it looks like there may be some problems currently with full restores and it doesnt seem to matter if I use TWRP or CWM? I just do not want to be stuck with cyanmod rom. I am just worried cause I have seen some major bricks with this device cause people are trying to use methods from other tablets and devices that do not seem to work with this one?

I had issues after a full wipe installing CM9 on TWRP 2.1.4 and had to restore a nandroid and it worked without issue. Once TWRP 2.1.5 hit I was able to then wipe and flash CM9 no issues.

That's some ghetto work there lol I want to try to restore back to stock for a bit but worried ill lose wifi and not know how to fix it lol
No no lol. I was on 2.1.4 of TWRP and wiped and it failed to install zips. I then restored to stock rooted with no issues. The next day TWRP 2.1.5 came out and I wiped and flashed CM9 and it worked great. Been on CM9 ever since with no desire to change anything. This is a great ROM and the dev working on it is a beast!

Was just worred at some of the stories I have heard with restoring from CM9. Would prefer AOKP and I hear that is ramping up now that the devs have a tablet.
It works great I will say that. I just want to go back to stock because I like to switch it up and some of the dock functions do not work yet. Im going to hang out on CM9 for a bit to see what they can do about restoring backups. Either way, someone is going to fix TWRP and/or CWM to allow for smooth clean restores or there will be a better work around to get there with less bugs.
