UPDATES BELOW AS I FIND THEM:
---
I'm just now beginning to look into this. Rumor before was that only non-TMo tablets would get this update. Hopefully that can be corrected by some smart dudes (DJ Steve?) to allow it to run on TMo w/Data. Otherwise, I expect it to be corrected enough to allow peeps to run even the TMo version as wifi-only.While it was rumored to not start until October 7th, it appears as though Honeycomb is now rolling out to some Dell Streak 7 owners. Though looking at the posts, we're not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing quite yet.
Some are reporting that it wipes your device clean, while others say it leaves all apps intact. A wipe would make sense, however, due to the nature of the upgrade.[snip]
UPDATES BELOW AS I FIND THEM:
---
- CWR-flashable version of Wifi-only, not-rooted, major bugs - read about it before you flash! @XDA
- According to bluesy_92 @XDA, this is a Dell-modified version of an older Honeystreak ROM! Surprising and is giving me mixed feelings. Is this "cheap" by Dell or is this a compliment that they are adopting community-created software? Either way, I hope our community-driven ROMs are improved thanks to a Dell-created kernel!
- So far, it appears that Dell has NOT released the kernel source. Keep an eye here for any updates on that.
- Here is a link to a page with a download link from Dell. I'm not entirely sure exactly what you get from here, so be warned! (And yes, the Download Page for Honeycomb has a screenshot of Froyo. Well done, Dell!)
- StephenH (aka DJ Steve) has a flashable/rooted version up and running @TabletROMs.com
