I didn't find an official Q&A (*cough* one of you twrp people should make one *cough*) so I decided to create a new thread. I've tried asking for help on #twrp also

have you guys tried creating your own openrecoveryscript?
I'm having trouble, trying to follow the guide here: http://www.teamw.in/OpenRecoveryScript
it seems that when I try a simple

echo "install /sdcard/update.zip" > /cache/recovery/openrecoveryscript<br />
reboot recovery<br />

when the phone reboots to recovery, it just shows the main splash
but that's not the case when I use goo manager to queue zips, etc

Is that the correct filename and syntax?

You didn't post the recovery log nor the TWRP version.

Ah, I forgot I started this thread. I've since fixed the problem since I was using a script to copy the openrecoveryscript from my sd card to /cache. .
