Does this contain GAPPS? If not what version should we be using?

I dont see it in the ZIP, but no to say that Acme installer won't install it. Not sure if the upgrade method also keeps the market working.

Man, to people holding out.. you are missing out!

I just upgraded from my CM7 install, and it looks like all my apps did carry over, as Dal said. Mind you, you DO have too use the Acme installer method, but this is no biggie, as we all had to do that once anyway. Use the Gapps somebody kindly posted earlier, and you are all set (you can flash them in CWM after you install)... This is beautiful!!!

TiBU may not work, but MyBackup Root or MyBackup Pro may be a usefull fall-back if you're backing up your apps.

Put anything you may need in cminstall before starting the install - e.g., the CM9 update zip, gapps zip, CWM zip, moboot 3.5 zip.

Wifi File Explorer or Airdroid are nice alternatives to move files around if you are having problems connecting via USB after installing.

The program Nova Launcher is the BEST launcher on ICS...get it from XDA forums:

Does anyone know if the Gapps that we have been using on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus with CM9 (and plain AOSP) Kangs would not work on the TP? Since they are proven to work w/CM9 Kangs on the Nexus, thinking that they could work w/the TP as well...

Is anyone having the system reboot on them after powering the screen off?

I think i may give my CM7 nandroid a restore, and try installing this all again, and see where it goes..

i have to say' that a majority of the problems people are posting' will be fixed by wiping data, and starting fresh. i was having reboot issues and fc's, but once i wiped out things and started fresh, it is working great...

i am guesing not, but has anyone managed to make Photoshop touch (the $9.99 version) not reboot their tp?

So, i think for me, the only real issue remaining now is why some apps cause the tablet to reboot (without showing any errors or FC's). I would love to use Photoshop touch, but sadly, all it does it reboot the system... Any logs out there i should try to caputre to help debug things?

How do you toggle USB with CM9? I don't see the little circle with the up or down arrow. I connected the cable to my PC but can't find a way to get my hptouchpad folder to appear on my PC screen. I had to reboot into webOS to do the sideloads.

It really amazes me that people like this make it through life alive somehow. Are basic reading skills really that lacking, or are people just so lazy as to not read the first post (let alone read and search this thread a bit... surely after 81 pages, they are the first person trying to do this.....)...

I did it through CWM. I dont have a issue one. If you wipe data you are fine. notice on multiple postings throughout this 96 page mess, best results have come from doing a full wipe, and preference has been given using CWM hense my choice and probably phikal's choice to do it that way.

Dont worry, icy is just confused. cwm works fine, as long as you are doing a fresh install. As Dal mentioned, you will run into problems if you are upgrading without wiping from cm7, but that is all..

Latest version? I'm running 4.0.2 without issue, but am getting ready to flash update.

Yes, the latest version should be just fine, same as Splashtop HD, Photoshop Touch, etc...
