i tried using the gapp posted but it stil gave me the error message.Man, to people holding out.. you are missing out!
I just upgraded from my CM7 install, and it looks like all my apps did carry over, as Dal said. Mind you, you DO have too use the Acme installer method, but this is no biggie, as we all had to do that once anyway. Use the Gapps somebody kindly posted earlier, and you are all set (you can flash them in CWM after you install)... This is beautiful!!!
THank you devs again, so much.
doing that right now. will report back if it worksmaybe try clearing/deleting all wifi profiles saved and connect again?
it drops a lot of times =(Didn't work the first four times. Worked the fifth. Go figure. Hah.
sd card mount is not working atm so backing up won't workTiBU may not work, but MyBackup Root or MyBackup Pro may be a usefull fall-back if you're backing up your apps.
Put anything you may need in cminstall before starting the install - e.g., the CM9 update zip, gapps zip, CWM zip, moboot 3.5 zip.
Wifi File Explorer or Airdroid are nice alternatives to move files around if you are having problems connecting via USB after installing.
The program Nova Launcher is the BEST launcher on ICS...get it from XDA forums:

Does anyone know if the Gapps that we have been using on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus with CM9 (and plain AOSP) Kangs would not work on the TP? Since they are proven to work w/CM9 Kangs on the Nexus, thinking that they could work w/the TP as well...

running through the "android is upgrading" part again.check my post on it here. http://forum.xda-dev...&postcount=6044
after it finished, still the usual restart =(did that for me to.. for about 5 apps not so?
yep, i'm in the process of flashing it again... hopefully it wont' take long until i report back XDdid you set up your market account and let everything sync?
i'm starting fresh. using ACMEInstaller2 for all of them. lets see what happens next =pwhat method are you using to flash? i did the ACMEInstaller2 method for the rom, and i used cwm (the TWRP version) to flash the gapps and the gapps fixer.
did you use 2 gaap or one? one to get it started and then went into CWM to zip the other one as well?did that for me to.. for about 5 apps not so?
did titanium backup work for you?0.1) go into Clockworkmod and backup everything with Nandroid
1) upload "update-cm-9.0.0.0....." to the 'cminstall' directory on the Touchpad (or, to the 'sdcard'?)
2) reboot, plug into computer, hold down button to see the USB icon
3) type "$ novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller2" from the terminal on my PC, same as done installing original CM7
WORKED! Immediately after CM9 install and reboot, went into clockworkmod and installed gapps from here http://bit.ly/gapps8_1
Market works, everything works.
Works very well, thanks CM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I regsistered to thank you and the community for making my TP useful.
NOW I am off to DONATE to CyanogenMOD. THanks!!!!
