First let me say thank you for all the help. I am ready to dive into the update. However, I see a myriad of problems across the posts which is always disconcerting. I do realize that I can always revert. For me, I am still on 3.0 as it worked fine and I again saw so many problems with 3.5. But to be fair I never experienced many problems with 1, 2, 3 as others have. For example WiFi was just fine. I look forward to ICS for varous reasons, one is that it should be able to drive an USB mouse and keyboard at the same time. I can do this on 3.0 but it is hit and miss for the mouse to work.
So having said all of that here is what I see from reading the posts. Procedures change over time so this my summary. I am hoping that this pathway will lead to the fewest problems. Can someone review/edit? One question am I handling the Apps and Data backup and restore correctly. Do we still need the GApps fix?
