It works

From the awk file in the zip:what does the gapps fixer *fix* exactly?
works:Just booted into CWR, did a backup and applied the charging fix that DerEineDa posted about above (fix is here - http://goo-inside.me...enderloin/alpha).
Applied fix, wiped cache/Dalvik "just in case" and rebooted and cache is being rebuilt now (Optimizing application x of y...).
Wanted to report that it at least does boot up fine, have to see if it affects charging rate. It has about 500 downloads already...so someone out there is using it, it appears.![]()
I've set the screen to stay on while charging and am at 62% now...gonna let it sit and see if the battery level increases or decreases, and how quickly it goes either way.
Numbers?It works![]()
Thanks for the screen cap - does look good, charge increasing while the screen is on...hopefully mine will settle in and do the same.
Thanks - that worked! To mount the sdcard

Enable Media device (MTP)
ACMEInstaller2 needs to be in the same directory as the novacom fileHey. Can someone help me with an idiots guide to ACMEInstaller 2. I think I'm doing it right but I keep getting the system cannot find the file specified.
I extracted the ACMEInstaller2 file to my desktop, and I'm typing "novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller2" in the command prompt, and I keep getting that reply. I'm on Windows 7 btw.
Nice review!!! Would really be interesting to hear how you installed. For those who haven't bitten yet, I made a video review here
My battery continued to decline while the screen is on...started at 62%, now 60%. TP is idle (though I did just install circle battery widget) and has lost 2% while connected to charger. I was using the stock TP AC charger with a USB cable that I had available from my other devices. Thanks for the screen cap - does look good, charge increasing while the screen is on...hopefully mine will settle in and do the same.
Glad you liked itNice review!!! Would really be interesting to hear how you installed.
Clean, over CM7, used ACMEinstaller, or flashed with CWM, etc. thanks
That is the idea...more minds/hands = more/better fixes, possibly faster. Hopefully the developers who have been interested in this will throw their hats in the ring.Since this is now open source and I'm sure a lot of community users are working on it how will all the fixes + features be implemented? more frequent Alphas?
The microUSB lead cable (with silvery disc) supplied with TP is faulty by design, try another microUSB cable, could be that.thanks CM team for your hard work to bring to us the ICS![]()
I found that the ICS is not charging the tab when i am connected to the PC,but it charging from the adapter, when i plug the usb to the PC it show me the is charging in the notefication, but when i go to the batter setting is saying discharging.
and i feel its realy slow to charge.![]()
any one having a problem with charging ? can you guys charge the touchpad from the PC ?
How about posting the link to the gapps file you used. ThanksCM9 is AMAZING on the TP. Many many thanks.
Did full system/data/cache wipe and installed zip through CWM along with the SGS2 7.1 gapps, everything works: Market, PEAP/MSCHAPV2 wireless, Exchange sync (eMail, Calendar, Contacts/People - and the eMail trash finally syncs properly in ICS).
* Titanium Backup 4.0.2 trial version works for me restoring apps one at a time
* in stock browser, type about:debug for url, then settings -> debug lets you set desktop UA string (sorry if already mentioned)
* Cisco IPSEC VPN working:
- the /system/lib/modules/tun.ko is automatically loaded at startup, but I also see /dev/net/tun created with VPNC
- supposedly Cisco IPSEC VPN is natively supported in ICS, L2TP/IPSEC Xauth PSK should have worked for me but did not, annoyingly ICS is enforcing lockscreen PIN if VPN profile set up anyway
- get-a-robot VPNC will work if you delete the IP executable at /system/bin/ip (described here) and enforce use of /system/xbin/ip, but hangs and requires force close on disconnection
- VPNC Widget uses its own busybox and works perfectly, the notification icon is hideous but it is what I am using
Got everything I need right here with this CM9-Alpha0.
Congratulations to CM and many thanks again.
How?I looked over the different density levels of different tablets - other than iPad2 I couldn't find another with 132. Thrive, Transformer, etc are all at 149.
edit: I changed my density to 149 - overall looks better to me and I'm not seeing any issues with apps so far or market.
