*** YOU CAN USE CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY TO UPDATE TO A3 ***

(copy to sdcard, then boot into clockworkmod, choose the a3 zip from /sdcard, confirm yes..)

* do a nandroid backup just in case

* you can also clear /cache if you want

* there should be no need to clear /data.

Hey guys,

First time installing Android onto my Touchpad - love it, the only problem is that my Wifi isn't working (connecting, authenticating, disconnected)....I tried # rm -rf /data/misc/wifi a few times and it hasn't helped. I installed Alpha 3. Is there anything else I can do? I figured since this was my first time installing, I may have missed some sort of manual fix discovered in the past?

No not directed at you. But it might be helpful to get a more detailed description of the problem. Are you connecting to a home router? With some sort of encryption? What kind? Does it scan? Do you see an error with logcat, and if so what is it? (google if you're not sure what "logcat" is).

Have you tried having it "forget" your connection and then re-enter it? the connecting, authenticating, disconnecting sounds like possibly a mis-typed password. Verify that the password you're typing is indeed correct.

I had the same problem with CIFSManager, but i didn't try it with Alpha 2/2.1, so i can only say that it does not work with Alpha 3 :-(
