This ROM is not a theme. It is a collection of mods/hacks/tweaks to make your Vibrant experience better. This Project will follow T-Mobile's releases for the Vibrant and use their base to bring you the most stable ROM possible. We are not trying to compete with CM7 nor will we ever.

That being said, EDT presents Project V. We have smali code coming out of every orifice of our collective body. There was a ridiculous amount of work & time put into this build. Enjoy!

  • Based on Vibrant T-Mobile KB5 FROYO
  • KB5 Modem, KB5 voodoo kernel
  • Deodexed, Prerooted, Zipaligned, Busybox 1.19
  • 8 lock screens (4 tab, rotary, puzzle, android, glass, epic star wars, miui)
  • Clock Options - Battery Options - Signal Options - and more
  • Debloated - Bloater included (new version, ignore any errors for now!)
  • Swype & WP7 Keyboard by camelot
  • Miui Music & TouchWiz Music (MIUI is uninstallable)
  • TouchWiz 4 Launcher & EB Productions Gingerbread Launcher
  • T-Mobile tab hidden in market
  • EDT permissions, EDT tweaks, ZIP align at boot as always.
  • EDT Tweaks app
  • Hacked camera (battery & power button to shoot & hold power button to focus)
  • Hacked video player (low battery)
  • Gingerbread binaries (aka fugu tweaks)

  1. Put ROM zip on sd card
  2. flash (not from CM7 or 2.3
    )
  3. reboot, LET ROM SIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES
  4. reboot

Do I have to disable voodoo?
No.

I've changed settings in the EDT Tweaks app, why isn't it changing?
GIVE IT TIME. It will update in a minute or two. Trust us.

Can I flash other KB5 themes on top of this?
Absolutely not. The files & frameworks in this ROM have been HEAVILY modified and using other themes will likely soft-brick you

Can I use other kernels & modems with this ROM?
As long as the kernel is not for Gingerbread, yes. Modems, yes.

Can I flash older Project V themes with newer releases?
No. Each release is NOT a theme update and will contain system changes that require themes to be updated upon each release (sorry themers!).

Supercurio - obvious reasons
Untermensch - lock screens/deodexer/undermanmastermind
Sbrissen & psykdup - lock screens/ideas
Jocelyn - AMPM Toggle, H mod, everything else she's done
marosige - battery calibration app
camelot - WP7 keyboard
eugene - gb launcher & all his other contributions
drhonk - kb5 voodoo kernel
Samsung/T-Mobile - base ROM

First I want to say thank you for all your time that you guys have put in on this ROM... I can't wait to try it. BUT... as I am noob at all this root stuff and custom ROMs I have a question. I just rooted my Vibrant and have gotten rid of all the bloatware. I downloaded your ROM and followed the instructions that are provided. When I went to flash my vibrant (held the 3 buttons down and then highlighted reinstall packages and selected it) it went thru the motions and then came up with an error message saying that it couldn't find the update. Soooo... having a little knowledge (I think..LOL) I renamed the file update. Checked it out in my file folder and it showed that it was good to go.. (update.zip). I then try'd to reflash it and it started to install the ROM. It had a progress bar at the bottom but after around 20 seconds it would then go and say failed to install update. Can you please help a noob out and let me experience the world of custom ROMs?? LOL.. I would greatly appreciate any input!!! You can email me personally at [email protected] or you can just put it here in the forum and I will check frequently... Thanks again guys!!!!

well, first off, the t-959v is the 4g vibrant, and if you were trying to flash the rom in this thread, you flashed a rom that is incompatible with the phone. If you can get into recovery, i would start by restoring the nandroid backup you made before you tried to "update". Oh my, I hope you made a backup. you can find the correct roms for your phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1068 there
