I heard that there are couple of problems with latest build - 12/05/2012:

It is not particularly with these nighties, it is a problem of AOKP.

Has anyone installed the latest nighties?

So I've tried the official 4.2.1 and several nightlies and every single one will not display an H+ icon and the 3G and H icons never turn blue even though the service icon is blue. Am I missing something? Did something get changed in 4.2? Yes I using the phone in areas that I should have full H+ yet I only have a grey H or 3G icon, havent seen an H+ one time.

Any help or info would be great.

I only get 3G or H (no H+) icon with every 4.2 nightly so far. However, my icon does turn blue, no issues. I think grey is when you don't have connectivity to Google services.

So your actual icon turns blue aside from your service indicator? I did find out that the h+ not showing up was googles fault and i guess aokp just fixed it, not in 4.2 yet obviously though. But even though my service turns blue my icons still stay Grey but i don't have any connection issues anywhere.

Ah, you're asking a color blind guy... So, the bars are blue, 3G and H are grey.
Yup. I switched the icons around to read right so I'm not worried about that but I wasn't sure about the actual icon color and if staying grey was how it was supposed to be in 4.2 cause all was normal in 4.1.

Here's a pic. Normally the icon would be blue as I'm in an area right now that is excellent coverage and has always shown fully connected on the icon.
