FYI. From post #2 for the google apps, on the encounterpc website, directory "/bmc08gt/sgs3/aokp/jb/gapps" doesn't exist. A little digging around under "/bmc08gt/sgs3" led me to the only gapps directory here: "/bmc08gt/sgs3/aokp/gapps/" -- but this is empty.

I usually just use the "goo.im" gapps server, but wanted to let you know...

missing phone number after reboot is expected.
however I've yet to experience any IMEI problems at all since I've gotten the phone.

 

Does JB do Tablet Mode the same way ICS does?

 

Apparently not, wouldn't boot after I changed the density to 180.

Its the missing link for MMS. No other ill effects. It will come back after nandroid

Just realized that have the device labeled as SGH-i535 instead of SCH-i535....derp

fixing...new build will be in same link in 10 minutes or so. Should fix some app incompatibilities.

 

Does this have the same issues with erratic 3G data as cm10? Also, I assume A2DP will not be fixed for a while? Thanks!

 

data has been rock solid for me since last night when I got it to work. Haven't looked into BT yet

Ran into as issue with the camera, starts once, focuses, then hangs. Won't restart after that. Downloaded pudding camera and it had an error starting. Downloading new file...gonna flash and report back.

 

seems to be hit or miss with camera at this point

 

Camera problems I believe are due to the gallery/camera in the gapps package beanstown has a gapps pack with it not included

about to flash after i have a nandroid of cm10. just to make sure which gapps do we need? is it the nogallery one or what?
btw thx for being such a beast with aokp for us. wish i could donate but im a broke freshman lol so yeah.

 

I'd use the no gallery but I'm not sure if ts the ROM or the gapps but my "Play movies & videos" app keeps force closing on boot and when you try to open.

Same here gave it a shot but I think data was a lil more stable for me on dhackers cm10 7/31

aiight its lookin awesome so far... how are the aokp rom controls workin for us? thats the main feature of aokp that i love

 

and p.s. idk if u knew this bmc, but one of the links to ur gapps is down. the androidencounterpc one i beleive.

 

wait a minute op says if coming from ics format system, data and cache. what if we are running cm10? do we skip that step? im dying here!

 

I always wipe everything when switching roms but I guess u can try it with a dirty install and see or just be safe make a backup and wipe

just dirty flashed and all is well. camera is fine for me. data was a bit too shaky for my tastes and rom controls settings wasnt finished so i will switch back to cm10 until ths is just about complete. dont get me wrong though lol gret progress has been made on this project so yea this is definitely will be my daily driver when complete. also, phone number was unknown even before i made a first reboot. inshort this will definitely be great when complete. but not stable enough for me yet. keep up the great work!
