As of now, I am taking over the Heinz_57 ROMs and they will have my tweaks to them!!! With the help of Dfgas's scripts too!!!

Well everyone, I have been out of the loop for a while but daddy's back and bringing you the good SH*T (Cause I'm cool like that)!!! This is based on Sbrissen's Pool Party ROM!!!!!

Now this is a first release and as such, there will be bugs that i know about and don't know about, so please post and bugs that you come across in this thread (Just please don't post the bugs that i have listed) and they will be addressed ASAP!!!

Now you guys know the deal, I am not responsible for what you do to your phone...you break it, then blame yourself, no me!!!

Credits :
Sbrissen for the mods and pretty much the whole ROM & his script (I used UOT to help in putting a theme to it)! Without him, none of this would be possible!!! (It even says TSM pool Party when flashing...left it in to give TSM credit for their work!!!)
Dfgas for helping me learn how this is all done
All of TSM cause they helped me learn a lot too and they are GODS as far as Android is concerned!!!!

BUGS : Can't get M4V video format to play right, But MX video player works well!!!
Anything that isn't working in all AOSP ROMs
and that's all i know so far

Changes : None so far as this is the First release!!!

Instructions :
Download to the main directory of your sdcard with GAPPS
Boot into Recovery (CWM4)
Wipe data, Cache, and Dalvik Cache
Flash ROM then GAPPS
Reboot and wait for the Bacon!!!!
Enjoy!!!!!

Damn it's good to be back in the game!!!!

move to sdcard, wipe data, cache, and dlavik, then flash in CWM 4 that comes with MIUI and your golden

I just recently got my Mesmerize modded and running an outdated CWM and ROM. Going to have to flash this in the morning after work. Super excited that I can finally have Gingerbread on my phone. +1

glad your excited, i got a new ROM coming out very soon, touchwiz based off the EH09 Leak of gingerbread, deodexed and modded by me and all that so keep your eyes out touchwiz users!!! Team Heinz ftw!!!!

I'm still new to this. This ROM is AOSP. So does that mean I can use the Voodoo kernel with this?

first off...we have no GB voodoo kernel, second, the is based on the MTD file system, and its ways faster than ext4, which is what voodoo converts too

I see. Thank you! My phone is currently in odin mode so I can put CWM4 on it. Then I'm doing to flash.

When flashing a new recovery does it normally take 62 years to boot into said recovery for the first time? Or did I mess up?

So the CWM4 doesent seem to work. At least for me. I went to flash it using Odin and my phone wouldent boot. Replaced the CWM4 back to 2.something and now its working again.

I have the purchased version of ROM Mananger, but do not see a Samsung Mesmerize listed? Would love to do upgrades through it!

Was using Fascinate, but it installs CWM 3.0.0.8 and stuffed me.
ODIN with CWM4 allowed me to install this awesome ROM though.

you have to already be on an MTD system to see MTD roms/mesmerize at all. with froyo i never saw any mesmerize listed either.

EDIT: whats the difference between the Heinz 57s on Rom Manager under Tater and dfgas? i noticed the dfgas one is v.03, and yours (as well as the one in this thread) is v.01, and the boot animations are different (the dfgas one is hella-cool.) and the theme is slightly different... is that it?

Am I missing a setting? For some reason my keys at the bottom stay illuminated whenever the screen is on. That's unusual for me. Any thoughts?

I am having problems with random reboots, and am wondering if different kernels will help. (I had this issue with Froyo H57 too.)

No OC/UV, never freezes, just randomly shuts down and restarts.

I am having this issue as well. Any thoughts to this and my above post?

Hey I loaded Heinz 57 GB from Miui and I have been having problems with the phone loosing 3g/1g status. Another problem is the phone will crash (I do believe it is the google.phone.com service). Also I dont know if anyone else is seeing this but I have noticed it loads whatever you click twice over (when it has the spinning loading icon there is two of them and when you hit back it sends you to the same thing you are trying to load as if its loading two of them) Final problem is, it will randomly reboot without any user interaction. Otherwise I have not had any problems with this rom. I have to say its a nice looking rom Baked_Tator

Did you wipe data before installing this? If not, your fault you are having issues.

I am having the same issues, and I did wipe data prior to flashing. The random reboot is not a huge issue for me, but I have found cycling wifi/mobile data (in the nofification screen) "fixes" the loss of data connection.

EDIT: though mine is more-so the cell signal/wifi turns from green (on & good) to grey (on but bad?)

After some fiddling and redownloading I got this working with out a hitch. Looks and feels amazing. Data connections seems a little unstable. But that could be due to the fact we had a crazy storm last night.
