Working theme chooser? Well hot damn, well played

Why is everyone so shocked by this? Lol

Regarding theme chooser, it should be noted, ICS themes generally look terrible. The drawables really need updated. :D

I hate to be that guy but I guess I'm that guy.
Do you guys plan to implement the changeable Nav bar DPI's? I hate stock size Nav bar and I myself prefer 30 or 32 DPI and would love to see this built in

Maybe eventually, but it's not high on the list.

Although I appreciate features as much as the next guy, I feel like there is a thing as too much. Unfortunately, it would appear the Nexus has taken a turn towards that. Rather than letting "quasi-developers" build smaller mods, such as the navbar dpi options, it has just become standard practice to bake EVERYTHING into the ROM.

I personally feel like this has killed the modding community that used to surround ROM development. In the past, if someone wanted <insert mod here> they created it and then shared. It gave them the experience they wanted, and a sense of accomplishment when other people used it as well. Now, one is forced to sift through 340 settings options to adjust that one little thing they like. I recall a ROM review a few months ago, where someone was flipping through pages of settings saying "Well, I really don't use this, but it's there." That's just not the experience we aim to give the user.

Not knocking anyone or calling anyone out, to each their own. Just giving a little insight into why we do what we do.

I find it amusing that the test call is in the 618 area code region.

You guys have a gerrit/github or is this a closed source rom?
It's not really closed source, we just haven't had time to upload public repos.

We recently switched repo services, and it's just a painful process switching it all over.

I'm using Nova as well and do not get the menu when long pressing recents either.

Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2
Then that is a problem with Nova. The code to handle menu keys has absolutely nothing to do with the Launcher.

I downloaded Nova just to confirm. It would appear that the long press menu options in Nova are eating the keypress. Not much I can do with it.

Guys, I'm on vanirbean 8. Can I dirty flash safely?

thx
Skip
I wouldn't, but you can back up and try. :)
Someone else mentioned earlier that they were having a problem with the launcher going into a force close loop when installing new apps from the play store. I just realized I am having this issue. A reboot does not fix. Have fully wiped and reinstalled twice and it is not fixing it. The second time I managed to get into app settings and clear data, which fixed the issue, but then I have to reset all my homescreen shortcuts. I am running the ROM with no modifications, and it appears to be the only issue I'm having. Any thoughts?
It should be "handled" in the next release. I won't say fixed, because the new homescreen auto-rearrange stuff has made a "fix" problematic. It should prevent the force closes though.

Link fixed. Sorry.
Does 2.1 include a fix for the issues with su and busybox (http://rootzwiki.com...400#entry858728)?
We have the same source compiled su and busybox as before. Shoot me a PM if you want to talk about it.
Hey guys don't flip out on me for this but. Anyone have any problems flashing over 2.0 with 2.1? I will wipe no problem just wanted to flash this thing right now and don't really have time to set everything back up right now. I know I know wipe dalvik and cache after back up and do full wipe if any issues. Just wondering how you were all making out with a dirty. Also. If you do dirty, do we have to flash gapps again? I dirty flashed cm updates for almost a year on my incredible so I'm used to not flashing gapps after an update. Great work devs . I've said it before and I'll say it again. Best JB ROM yet (my opinion of course) and trust me I've flashed damn near all of them. Wiped my gnex about 500 times. Thx again all
Just flash over. Don't tell anyone, but I haven't wiped since January. :D

Is the only thing thats changing busybox and su?
Just busybox actually. :)
Anyone elses CPU settings not sticking after screen goes off?

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using RootzWiki
What kernel?

Stock BAMF. fresh install of 2.1 with BAMF Gapps.

Perhaps try clearing data for BAMF Settings. I fixed it last Wednesday and its stuck for me ever since.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Interestingly enough, I can confirm. I usually was checking after a reboot. So, if you set it and reboot, it will stick.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I also cleared data in bamf app. No go either

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using RootzWiki
I swear there are gremlins in the kernel settings. Mine loses it on screen off, but sticks on reboot.

Changes already merged courtesy of faux. Maybe a patch if one of us thinks about it.

I just downloaded 2.1 & the gapps and something... new, for a lack of a better term, happened. Chrome downloaded the two files but kept them in a pending state for me to confirm because files like these are not always downloaded. Is this a BAMF coincidence? Not blaming just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced something like this with Chrome.

Edit:
Is there a way, and if not can there be, to change the toggle look? The switches are too big and take up far too much real-estate. I really like this rom and want to keep it but the size of those toggles drives me nuts.
More "toggle" options will be implemented in the future. FWIW, It's quick settings, ala HTC. CM has toggles. :)
