I am using button savior from the market to get the soft buttons. Here is my screenshot

This is a huge jump in the right direction
Does it support as-hoc, I'm trying to connect to a tether.scott951 said:Strange I am on wifi now via touchpad

It seems like you can do that. Although I haven't tried it yet.can we just add golauncher apk inside the zip file ?
Tis true, and its in the original post. A workaround I found is to install Button Savior from the market, which gives on screen keys. Not as clean as you get with CM7 but it is functional and allows you to navigate OK. Most apps seem to work fine, but it is very buggy. I can't get a few apps to install from the market as well (Tweetdeck, Paypal, and a couple of others).Well, I flashed it but there are no "back" or "menu" buttons built in and because this is a TP that was never supposed to run Android it's (at least to me) Proof of concept for MIUI. Until that is figured out I would not even call this a PRE Alpha. POC at best.
Scott/anybody please prove me wrong.
Good work, just not alpha yet....

Some screenshots I took of it running on my TP (also posted on XDA):
