MIUI 2.3.7 Beta

This is a community support ROM only!
The developers do not provide much support for this ROM on these forums
Support is mostly provided on forums.MIUI.us
New release come every Friday.

If you haven't heard about this ROM yet then check out the videos in the 2nd post to see it in action!
This is an excellent ROM if for no other reason than it introduces the first non-CyanogenMod/carrier/manufacturer framework overhaul of Android 2.3.7 and boy what an overhaul.

Changes from base ROM

Removed: MIUI App Sharing | MIUI OTA Updater | MIUI Bootscreen | SIM Toolkit

Added: Custom Bootscreen | English Translations | Google Maps | Google Voice Search | MIUI.us Forum app

If you want ADW.Launcher or LauncherPro install them from Market.

Has anyone gotten this to connect to an android phone hot spot? Using wifi tether and CM7 connects fine. Could get miui to see the wireless tether. But wouldn't connect. Just said "remembered "

ill probably put this on my new touchpad, no sense putting it on the one i have now since im giving it away in a few days for my new 32gb anyway. Well not new, refurbished

YEAH MIUI on Toucpad - great work! I love MIUI on my HTC Desire too

But now, the bad news for me.
I installed it over my exisiting CM Version and after reboot, i get every 10 seconds the follwoing FC:

"The process android process.accore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Could anyone help me?

Shut the tp off and turn it back on.. then select clockworkMod recovery..
In recovery select wipe data/factory reset.. now reflash miui and u should be good

Does not work for me. I installed over cm7 alpha 3.5. Seems like it would have been nice. I have had to reinstalled CM7 as this build does not work on my 64GB white TP.
It is also interesting to note that this build seems to clock down my CPU. The 64GB TPs normally run at 1.5 GHz, but this build shows it at 1.2.

My guess is that the kernel from this rom is set to run @ 1.2Ghz by default, rather than 1.5

Is there a solution where i do not lost my installed Apps from CM3.5?
If i do a Full-wipe, i start with a complete new version.

Use AppExtracter app from market if u have a nandroid backup. U can restore all ur apps along with data.

View attachment 12653 here is my miui setup on the tp everything is running pretty good thanks for the tp on the reset to get all the soft buttons working the only thing i cant get to work is setcpu it shows in the app its working but when i run quadrant it shows its still set at the stock speed but thats no big deal at this point

i have a optimus v running cyanogen rom and i was able to connect my touchpad running miui to it and i did test a few wedsites and it seems to be working fine

I don't get it. It went from pre-alpha to beta in one swoop yet there seems to be no change in the OP's 'working'?

The only way I know is.. get titanium backup. Back up all ur apps+data. Wipe data install miui then get titanium and restore..

Or use mybackup root, same as titanium, but with less options...

So can anyone verify if vpn works or not with this build of MIUI? It does on my droid, but not loading it until I know it works on the TP. (Cm7 vpn does not work since the start). Thanks

Not sure what you mean by launcher2 not working but I managed these screenshots when I used the native launcher at an lcd density of 200. I toyed with it a little at different densities and 200 agrees with the launcher and the lock screen. Made the needed changes to the build.prop to get this result.

Does anyone else have serious issues with the display artifacting? It was so bad on mine I had to go back to drink. Everything looked so terrible
