[ROM] Beta MIUI.us Tenderloin HP TouchPad 2.3.7 by scott951

Just wanted to report my experience with this rom.

It installed flawlessly, no issues there. However, There were several apps that titanium backup just wouldn't restore under this rom. Not sure why. Also, for some reason, the bluetooth would not pair correctly with my car stereo after several tries. However, it connects fine under CM alpha 3.5. Unfortunately, because i mount my tp in my car while driving, the bluetooth issue was a deal breaker for me and i had to go back to CM7. Titanium Backup restored all my apps without issue once i was back on CM7, so my only conclusion that it was something with this rom causing my titanium and bluetooth issues. (and yes, i wiped all, fixed permissions, etc, it didn't help my issues).

At any rate, i loved the rom otherwise, and i'll definitely be back once more issues are worked out later.

I have been using this rom for almost a month now. I love it very smooth. never tried anything bluetooth though. any word on any updates for this rom?

Why does this garbage ripoff rom have it's own forum section???? Something fishy is going on here if you know what I mean???.

Hey scott, I tried this rom when it first came out and haven't since. Are there regular updates? I saw something about a buildbot every friday but I wasn't sure.

You're a dumbass... give credit where credit is due. If you don't know how to set up a rom on device, I suggest you leave rom flashing alone.. if you don't like someone's work, dont shit on their forum just leave it alone. Or just post on the forum with the issues you're having to help the devs fix those issues.. be smart about it don't act like a 15 year old.

First of all, thanks for the beautiful ROM. I installed it last night and am playing around with it. So far only came across 3 issues. wifi didn't connect to my network after reboot (same issue on CM7 alpha 3.5); camera doesn't seem to work and the biggest one right now, is that after installing a lockscreen from themes online, I am unable to unlock my screen. Is there any way to unlock the screen, or do I have to reset everything?

Scott tweeted that he is working on miui ics. Thats why we havent seen gb updates.

Yes, Scott closed his thread at the other site and said no more updates for GB, as he is now working on MIUI ICS. Looking forward to that awesome shit, and hopefully some little fucker won't come in that thread and try to discredit a free ROM.

MIUI v4 ICS has been ported for HP touchpad. See the thread here:

I just flashed miui 4 and went back to cm9 pretty immiediatly because of the following:

Miui launcher wont turn to landscape by default and is not optimized for tablet yet (large Dock),
-> i guess no matter for guys who wanne use some different launcher anyways
The settings are same style as cm9 but different colours (orange/white), however the clock is still ICS like blue which is really ugly for the eyes in combination.

I also ran a antutu benchmark and got around 4300 points with no overclocking.
-> cm9 reaches abut 4600- 4800 without overclocking on my device

So in my opinion for now its basically a cm9 with minor changes like the colours and their own browser/file explorer app which would need a lot of work to be usefull.

I might try it again when they do some progress but until then ill stick with cm9 allthough im a fan of Miui on my Motorola Defy.
