This custom Android project is built off of Google android-4.1.1_r4 source code.

The Crossbones Kernel is included in the ICS ROM variant which was modified from the stock Google kernel source code.

The kernel that's included in the Crossbones is a customized kernel based on Google's latest source (Linux 3.0.8). The idea behind this kernel is to provide a kernel that improves performance and the user experience but keep the stability of the stock kernel.

This kernel has been tested by all members of the team for over 48 hours and everyone has had the same result: nothing but excellent performance. This kernel is not even overclockable (yet) and honestly, doesn't feel like overclocking is needed. Every new feature added to the kernel is tested by all team members to ensure it does not affect stability and only improves the kernel. Our goal with this ROM and kernel is to have better performance and keep the stability of the stock ROM and kernel. Overclocking and undervolting will be added to the kernel eventually so if you're looking to overclock the kernel, flash a kernel that lets you overclock. However, we recommend trying our ROM with our kernel for a day and you'll see how good it is, guaranteed.

Very small change, just added all languages back into build per user request.
Only a cache/dalvik wipe is required. Flash gapps after ROM.

Hello everyone,
Crossbones ROM is now available on ROM Manager.

Currently, if you are a premium user, RM will not detect an update for Crossbones if you are on a version less that 0.2.0 (which has yet to be released). So once, 0.2.0 IS released, RM will notify you of an update

Do most users want a basic one included or would you prefer to download a 3rd party app such as Root Explorer or EStrongs for example?

This is a preview build for 0.3.0. Not everything is 100% but I'd like to have a larger test audience and show everyone what I've been up to. Testing has been very stable, but there are a few features to add and back end changes to make before I release as official 0.3.0.

News...hmmm. No news for the rom for now. I've been really busy with life and haven't had much time to mess with the rom. In the time I do get to code, I've been working with Goo-Inside.me on their GooManager app. My feature for their app should be done by this weekend and I'll continue rom work...if my unborn daughter doesn't decide its time to enter this world

I want to include my notification Widgets soon, so that'll take a bit of time to get implemented. But fear not, for updates will be rolling out, even if they roll out slowly. (We can't have buggy code now can we?)

This is just an update to Android 4.0.4_r1.1 which fixes quite a few bugs in Ice Cream Sandwich. I recently had a baby and have been very consumed with that, but I do promise that new features will be coming to the ROM soon.
