This is just a very basic stock ROM. I deodexed the ICL53F system image from Google (Android 4.0.2) rooted it and installed busybox. I saw that no such stock ROM was available and decided to share mine.

Features
  • Stock 4.0.2 ICL53F
  • Deodexed Framework and System Apps
  • All APKs Zipaligned
  • Latest Superuser and su
  • Busybox Installed
  • Insecure boot.img (adb remount privileges)
Requirements

  • LTE Galaxy Nexus
  • Clockwork Recovery
  • Kernel and baseband in screenshot below (if you don't have them, look in the 2nd post for the fastboot images - flash them in bootloader prior to flashing the ROM)
Screenshot

Instructions

  • No need to wipe data coming from stock
  • Boot into Clockwork, make a backup (highly suggested)
  • Wipe dalvik and cache
  • Flash ROM
  • Reboot
  • Profit!
Some things to watch out for

  • The first boot will take a few minutes

Advanced Power Menu + Autobrightness Tweaks (credit he_stheone64 on XDA for GSM version)

Adds reboot and recovery options to power menu. Raises auto brightness levels slightly.

Softkeys Mod (credit to Paul O'Brien, I learned from his SystemUI.apk to make mine ;-)

Must be on a deodexed ROM to install! Install after initial boot!

Can we use the gsm clockwork in rom manager? I was under the impression we had to wait for an LTE version.

Yes, you can flash using the GSM version.

You can just fastboot boot recovery.img, or flash it, doesn't really matter.

They say it isn't compatible for liability reasons, but LTE users have been using the GSM version for as long as it's been out.

Was I supposed to do the Ota before rooting? I was already unlocked and rooted, then tried downloading the OTA, but it froze at the boot loader screen with a red triangle. I had to pull battery and restore the backup I made just after rooting. Is there another way to flash the baseband?

Fab...so nice to be back in your back yard again...been since my D1 days...

Can I flash the soft keys mod by itself, or does it depend on other bits in your ROM? I'm going to wait for the FB issue to be sorted before flashing the full ROM.

Thanks!

Heh, yep, those were some good days on the OG.

I'm not exactly sure if this will work on the odexed stock ROM. You may be able to flash the softkeys mod, and while in recovery still, mount /system and delete /system/app/SystemUI.odex

That could work. Possibly :)
