ROM seems pretty stable.
One bug I fond is that the torch force closes anybody seen it?
Yeah I just discovered it too. I will be fixing it in my next release or framework will. It's a pretty easy fix.
Also, you can use whatever torch like app you like, except torch pretty much

Thanks for the quick reply ...Battery life is excellent..Any plans on integrating the launcher landscape orientation...and forgot to mention Bluetooth works perfectly...
Great to hear! since its borked in the D2G (voice is anyways) As for the launcher landscape orientation it isnt supported in MIUI yet but there are plans to add it. When they add it we will have it as well

Runs fantastically, battery life is great.

I'm not positive what fixed it, but google talk started working after I kept messing with different settings.

also, restoring settings from the Froyo build will cause this fantastic bootloop where it will boot until it gets connection to carrier, then reboot. Fixed by quickly hitting airplane mode and then factory reset
Battery life will be waaay better next release too! Were changing to the defy base and on my D2G I had 90% battery with 16 hours idle

+1 !!
Awesome job, This IS solid, but still be awesome to see 'em keep on coming..
Thanks again
They will, I am not doing a second .23 update for the scrollable widgets as it just feels like too much extra work for a minor thing especially when the next release this friday will have it as well. Speaking of which were moving to defy next release. You should see much better battery.

You are having the same issue another user is having, I will be looking into it eventually. I haven't done much dev'ing this week since my wife and son are sick. We will have the update friday at least =)

! I just realised what you meant by softkeys, a fix will be in next build. If it doesnt work on first install reinstall the build with no wipe and it should work (I had to include it in my barebones (home button and search weren't working but back did)

Also, I know this isnt just a MIUI issue, but my mac address cycles every time WiFi switches, and as we use a MAC Filter at home this is problematic. Is there any known fix for this?
Did you accidentally wipe your pds partition? Also it could be due to the way we have our wifi driver initialize that it forgets its state. It happens on the D2G as well in both CM7 and MIUI

I dont think so, heres an ls -R of /pds

It almost looks like I am missing files, seeing as wifi and wmdrm are empty, is there any way to regenerate these (also, would I just be able to write this using dd, or by writing to a file after remounting the block?
That or they aren't being created and the kernel is supposed to create it. It shouldn't be empty. Also if you notice the battd and security certificates all sit in there too. Which would be why we have issues with 1% and with RADIUS networks working

so, on a unmodified phone, there is a file in the wifi folder called wlan_mac.bin, which seems to be just a mac address in a binary file. I created such a file with a spoofed mac (ffffff, 66:66:66:66:66:66) using a hex editor, and put it in place. Chmod 600 and chown 0:9007 to match other files in /pds

reboot, and it still has a random MAC.

I'm lost
Then that is telling my the file isnt being created and init isn't being told to look for it. That probably would be because whoever made our init didnt know to look for it!

Supposedly someone on d2g side said it works just fine without wiping but tbh I would sbf and then install to make sure everything goes ok. Once its installed you should be able to drop your data backup in.
