Sounds like the way to go. Formatting system should be unnecessary, but isn't a big deal. *Most* ROMs automatically format system when installing anyway. Like I said, though. It won't hurt.

Having a problem and hope I can get some help...The battery life on this is abysmal for me. I have been using ICS roms for the past 4 months and thought I'd switch back to GB just to see if they had improved, but it appears not. I get 16 hours of battery on this ROM, and about a day and a half (36 hours) on the ICS roms.

I thought it was the apps I had installed so I wiped data/cache and formatted system then reinstalled but without syncing my apps and information. Same problem - only get about 14-16 hours. Also, there is no 'hold back button to kill' option, and no way to change the apps drawer to L/R swapping instead of vertical 3D scroll (hate that). Also, any way to use stock Gallery instead of 3D one? 3d gallery is VERY buggy, and takes days to update thumbnails (unless I go into ES File Explorer and delete thumbnail cache manually so it auto-recreates). Also, the old 'Market' is still on here, and will not upgrade to the Play Store. I even tried the Play (Vending) 3.5.19 APK but it would not install.

Just seems like there are so many issues in this rom that have been solved in others for months. Any insight, or is this how all GB roms are and I had just forgotten?

I just reflashed and I still get a weird burst of rings when trying to call someone. It only happens when I call though, its fine if they call me first.

Wipe data, or just flash over your already installed system that you know is behaving poorly?

I wiped data and just flashed it again. When calling someone, it gives me short bursts on ringing and its breaking up to the point where you can't hear people talking. But when they call you everything is 1000% fine.

I've flashed it 3 times now with 3 different downloads of the rom to make sure it didn't get corrupt somehow. Still can't hear when I try to call, but works fine when others call me.

I also tried liberty rom and it works when I call, but I get NO data whatsoever period.

I actually have more luck with ICS roms than GB roms for some reason. I just can't get over the bluetooth issues if I forget to turn it off when not using it and the somewhat frequent data drops =/.

Yes, tethered via USB using PdaNet. WiFi Tether working fine too.

Can't wait till some themes are available for this build - but as it is - it's awesome! Snappy response, no data drops at all, loving the new lockscreen options and as always Eclipse is just plain clean. Big Thanks to all involved!

I upgraded my unsafe side to stock .905, then i rerooted, reinstalled safestrap, and installed this on the safe side.

Wifi feather works fine on 3.0.

I live in an area where you switch from 3g to 4g randomly because they have not patched up the network.
before 905 I would lose signal for a min when it transitioned. 905 seems to handle this much better.
that is really the only difference I see with the upgrade.

3.0 runs just as well as the previous eclipse roms. Thank to the dev for making a gb rom. I can't figure out why nobody else seems interested in making stable roms that we can actually use daily. It makes no sense to me that people keep making roms knowing. That it will have the same bugs as the rest.

Flashed 3.0 and the 4g continued to go in and out (blue to white and back to blue). I then flashed 2.2 and connectivity is fine. I was reading over on xda and droidforums and there are people running into the same issue. Just curious what's going on or if i could get some help! v3.0 was great besides the 4g issue.

I've been having the same issue occasionally. Toggling airplane fixes it, but I too was having better reception on 2.2 on 905.
The rom looks great, and runs great.
