SkyRaider Zeus 1.3 Release​

This ROM offers a lot of new enhancements and optimizations over stock Sense. I have made some new Quick Settings, enhanced parts of the ROM and even took skins to a new level.

The expanded status bar has been completely reconfigured and optimized. You will notice quite a few changes to it over stock. The approach I took was create more room by removing unnecessary items while retaining and even gaining functionality. The recent apps bar is hidden by default, but you can access it at any time by long pressing on the title bar. To switch to Quick Settings, simply tap the title bar once.

I have added seven additional Quick Settings and created four of them myself. This is really just the beginning in this arena. I already have plans underway for more customizations.

There are a few enhancements to Rosie including a re-mappable buttons and custom button icons, drop to uninstall over the trash can, and an unlocked edit button to display application details.

Another unique thing about this rom is the addition I made to skins. The edge glow effect that you will find in this ROM can change colors simply by choosing another skin. Five skins are included with this ROM and each has a different edge glow color to match its theme. In addition, any other Sense 2.1 Gingerbread skin you find on the Internet will work with this ROM, however, if the edge glow graphics are missing, it will use the default images. A big thanks goes to wowthatisrandom for modifying the skins for me and helping out with testing.

Something new to SkyRaider is the addition of several original LTE tools to help make your life a little easier. For starters, there is an integrated Sense style widget for your home screen. There is also a Quick Setting for toggling while you have the expanded status bar down. Then there are some more advanced options like Auto LTE. You can configure your phone to turn off LTE when the phone goes to sleep and back on when you wake it up. The options include timers for screen on/off times in case you have a habit of quickly flipping on your phone just to check messages. All of the tools use an advanced engine I wrote to allow switching from 3G to 4G faster than ever (as long as you are within range of an LTE tower).

Lastly, you will find the Sense 3.0 lock screen in here along with several screens to choose from. I also included the Sense 3.0 Weather application. A big thanks goes to seo for the lock screen and weather items.

Open them up. The free one looks like Wireless Tether from the market the payed one looks like the stock one for the TB (Which I am sure he left so that people who pay for the service can continue to use it).

Wireless tether is not working for me, no down data. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
I really want this to work as I am in love with the speed of this rom.

Also not really my place to say anything, so I apologize in advance. Please don't disrespect the devs, they do hard work so that we get to use cool software and mod our phones. The BAMF team had to make they're own forums, I'd prefer they don't all make they're own forums and we can continue to discover new roms by staying on one forum.

The glow effects change when you change a skin. Only the pre-installed skins will give you colors other than the default orange. However, skin devs can add the images to theirs to have it change properly.

Any Sense 2.1 Gingerbread skin will work on this ROM. Froyo and Sense 3.0 skins will install, but you will not see them in the skin picker. So if you install a skin and it doesn't show, that is most likely the reason.

Yes, you can install a different kernel, but do not install kernels that come as boot.img files. I have been made aware that most actually come this way. That is different from my experience with the Incredible. The reason you cannot flash boot.img files on this rom is because it comes with a custom ramdisk. If you flash one, it overwrites the ramdisk and goodbye rom.

I have links to some popular kernels. I'm going to repack them into my ramdisk and post them in the OP. Look for them later this week.

hey ihtfp69, Amazing ROM to say the least. Rock solid and graphically looks so clear and precise. However, my sense weather home screen sounds do not play properly. The sound cuts in for about a second then stops. Is this known or is there a fix for it? Thanks again.

Unfortunately, it is based on the old leak. It uses a stock 2.6.35.10 kernel from the latest build.

Going to be flashing this tonight. Ppl I knew always raved about your ROM on the DINC, so now I cant wait to flash it on the TB....thanks for your hard work and cant wait for the repacked kernels to come too.

One question. Is there any particular reason you chose to use the old Gingerbread leak as a base over the newer leak?

I know I had my fair share of random reboots while running ROMs based on the old leak, and as such, I've been running Chingy's Gingersense 3D Beta ROMs. Haven't had any random reboots with those builds.

Any plans to switch to the new leak?

Also, it seems the screen resolution looks WAY different than what I'm used to with the Gingersense 3D ROM. Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or am I really seeing what I think I am? The keys on the keyboard seem so much ...smaller!

As I understand it, the 3d ROM needed to be "stretched" visually. Obviously, if I'm wrong someone please correct me lol I thought I read that somewhere though.

I started with the old leak. There will be no more builds on it, though. This is it. I will nonetheless be very surprised if you get any random reboots with this rom. The resolution is different because the 3d roms where made for a higher resolution display. The graphics were altered to fit our phone. The graphics on this rom are normal.

Been running this for a couple of days now and it's awesome. Battery life, to me, is better than Gingeritis(clocked at 1Ghz). Stock kernel is always great for that. It's got enough speed for me and is very stable. Here's hoping that the Incredible SkyRaider 4.2 features make it to this ROM. I'm sure you don't want to show all of your cards yet. :wink2:

Reading nothing but good things so I'm giving this rom a go. Coming from AOSP (OMFGB), but ran Gingeritis for a long ass time. Will report back with my thoughts.
