so on the kang "test" build the following doesn't work:
Camera (duh)
BT
Wifi tether

Partially works (after adding the hdw libs)
The back light keys work, then kinda quit if you don't leave it on auto.
I'm on 3g but it doesn't show up properly in status bar.

Besides that, very impressive and extremely smooth. Hopefully protekk can import the egl fixes into his build.

soooo, link please?
why are asking for links to another person builds on protekk thread??? i think that would make someone mad just like the people b******g all the time
This build was just a test build with some changes that'll be brought into the mainstream build later. No link is available for it.

ain't no different than cross posting someone else build saying they might share info or cross posting from another thread or forum

Edit:I mean I understand cross posting info but only if it were to better both parties
I'll catch up on everything after I get out of work tomorrow.

Sweet, thanks for all your work on the ICS rom.
Thanks devs.... Sorry for the pointless post but i don't think we can thank them enough
great news about the egl in the kang build! can't wait for it to hit the beta here :] keep up the great work protekk and please, as with many other devs I've seen, please don't let the normal bickering in the thread keep you from releasing your work for those of us that truly care. I constantly check xda and rootzwiki to see if either has made a significant step and it disgusts me just as much as you seeing the stupid comments from the ungrateful users. just be aware that there are plenty of others that do appreciate your work wether they can give the donations at the time or not ;]

It is from the same dev team!! They all hangout in an IRC channel and post builds all the time so no.harm done
i love it, once i got a taste of this i dont want to run anything else. going to be a bitter sweet wait lol. once this is ready, i will not touch my inc2 with anything else

bitter sweet Ice Cream Sandwich wait 0_o
So excited for the next version! I've been running pure vanilla GB just to get the full effect!
just food for thought here. has any of the devs got with the cm team to see if they could share whatever we need to get full hardware acceleration and the camera to work? i mean in about a month we are going to start getting cm9 nightlies, as i said just wondering if this might be possible? in some ways i wish verizon had the nexus s, i know they have a full working port but aero & protekk have done a great job from what ive seen.

It's all publicly available.

The Incredible S got a build with full EGL. we are in progress of looking at adding their tweaks to our build.

Still no camera, tethering, usb tethering, or mass storage on theirs, but it puts us very close to a smooth system.
Here is a build that has hw acceleration: http://www.multiupload.com/PXSVSR374I

It still has some (okay, lots of) redraw issues. Dragging down the notification bar seems to help force a redraw. Bluetooth seems to work (it turns on, but I still haven't connected to anything). Sdcard doesn't seem to want to mount automatically any more :/ not sure what changed there... There's lots of stuff going on in the cm9 codebase and we probably didn't update something in our device tree to reflect the recent changes.

I would recommend formatting /system before flashing since I've had some issues if I didn't do that.

Also, there are still lots of bugs, mostly related to eglSwapBuffers. Since Maps tries to call eglSwapBuffers, it crashes and there are lots of other issues associated with that.

alright ill bite on this, im going to have to try this out finally. i do have a question, are you guys going to continue working on this after cm9 comes or is this to tide us over?

This is more of a cm9 preview, since we're working off of cm9 and just trying to get it to work for the Incredible 2
